Jeri, were you referring to Senator McCarthy when you said that you are glad that he lost whatever respect people had for him? The way it is written it seems to imply Seeger. I read it a few times, and I could not be sure what you meant. Sorry! Heh, heh..... yeah -- I know -- McCarthy, of course.... (you KNEW that) ... almost went back to fix it, but think I heard something on tv that I wanted to catch !! And, then, forgot !!

yeah, I didnt know richard cussed like a sailor(his words) and he shows that a couple of times in those interviews...took me by surprise also, on one of those michael one's, she said that the adults tried to watch their cussing around the kids. but the kids were worse than the adults lol I can see Judy cussing up a storm lol That 1st one with Earl has a story about ellen getting mad at him(earl) cause he wouldn't let her re write an episode---I guess ellen was known to wanna rewrite scripts lol michael mentions it too..Can u imagine that?! Someone wanting to Re-Write a genius like Earl Hamner?! that's hilarious! I heard Richard point out that people have a hard time realizing that actors are only performing the role of a character on film. Instead people assume we have the same traits and personality in real life, which is certainly not true. He gave a good example, in his use of a colorful metaphor in expressing himself.
Regarding Ellen Corby getting mad at Earl, she had been rewriting the script to the effect of Grandma dominating a particular scene, which wasn't what Earl was going for. It was funny, as she strode out his office angrily, she called Earl an SOB,
