I sure do wish more people would participate in the conversations around here. If you don't see a topic you want to join in on then please start a new thread. There are times that I don't visit the board for a few days and when I come back very little has been posted. We have a great subject and wonderful people who all love the show, I just don't understand why so few post.

Hi Rhonda, I read a lot but dont contribute because many, many folk here are much more knowledgeable than I am about whatever is being discussed and lets be fair no one wants to look dumb. I think those who do know udnersatnd that. No point in saying 'oh I dont think' when you dont know. BUT reading is learning about our favorite TV series, Hope this makes as much sense to you as it does me.

Hi Kelvin, yes that does make sense to me. We all can always learn something new here ~ even if it's just a new way of thinking or looking at something. For those that don't post, I still say if there is a topic that you do feel comfortable posting about go ahead and start a new thread.

Hi Rhonda. I'm another who drops by often, but doesn't post a lot. I'm Karen from Australia who runs the Waltons Digest, and I find that takes up a lot of "Waltons time"! I have posted a little over the past day or so, but we're on school holidays out here. I'm a teacher.
I wonder though, whether things will pick up as you, on the other side of the world, head into fall and winter? I usually find the summer months of the Digest quite slow and just put it down to people being away, or just enjoying their time out of doors. Keep an eye on things as the reunion comes and goes too. I'm sure there'll be lots of posting then, as people share their experiences.

Hello Rhonda,
I have'nt been able to think of any new threads lately myself. But I am always ready to chat about most anything. We plan to go to the reunion this year if something drastic don't happen. I went ahead and sent the money in and told Carolyn Grinnell that if we did'nt make it to just concider it a donation.

Hi David,
I do hope you will be able to make the reunion, I have never been but they sound like fun. I know after I started this thread I haven't been on here, and today I cannot think of anything myself to post about!

Hi Rhonda,
I sent the form and money in to Carolyn at the last minute but as of now, my wife and I plan to go. Unless something drastic happens.

Hi David, I do hope that if anything drastic happens preventing you from attending ~ that it is something like winning the lottery or publishers clearing house stopping by on your way out the door! lol Have a great time at the reunion!

I would like to post more often, but some of the other posters here seem to be overly-sensitive about things that mean nothing. I suppose someone will even get upset about what I just said. Once I said that I didn't think Judy Norton was a very good actress in the beginning of the series and someone took offense to that, yes they really did, and said they didn't think this forum was for them because of what I said...Oh my gosh! So that made me feel like I was walking on thin ice here. I don't understand anyone getting upset over a personal opinion about something, especially when it wasn't a bad opinion. I'm one of the Walton's biggest fans, and watch an episode every night before I go to sleep.

Thanks Rhonda. I'm looking forward to meeting Earl Hamner. I think he will be a very interesting person.

Hey ssmarilyn,
Don't worry about some of the sensitive people here on the forum. I got to kind of feeling that way myself a while back so I talked to Brenda who is the administrater of this forum and she said don't worry about it and that she would take anything out that was not appropriate and to keep on posting.
I figure everybody has the right to their own opinion, as long as it is not completely rediculous. Seems like their are always some people everywhere that can't seem to agree to disagree.

Thank you Walton's fans! For sure I'll post more now that I won't worry too much about what I say. I don't attempt to offend anyone, ever. I just love to talk about the Walton's.
