Lol! This reminds me of the Carol Burnett episode where Harvey and Tim were fishing for toilet sharks. I remember Harvey was playing Squint. Don't recall Tim's character. Anyway --- Hilarious!!!!! Without a doubt, this was one of the best sketch comedy shows in the history of TV.

In the reunion shows, not only do they not talk about Virginia anymore, they also never mention the fact that Ike ran for President of the United States in the mid 1950s. That's a terrible omission!
(Frank! The reason they don't mention this is that Ike ran with Nixon as his running mate...NIXON!!! Watergate and all that..no need to remind the American people of a black mark in their history)

No need to feel bad, Frank. We have experienced way worse things than Watergate in the last 8 years. My childhood memories of Nixon resigning: it was televised and my aunt was visiting. My aunt (to my mother): Get down here and watch this on tv. My mother: I'm making the bed. My aunt: History is being made and you're making the bed. Lol

Yeah we are told Virginia died in A Walton Thanksgiving - but not how or why. I believe they said Virginia drowned. Actually that conspiracy theory arose from someone fooling around with The Waltons Wikipedia article. Someone wrote it in and its amazing how fast word spread around the forums. No reason was ever given for why Virginia died - Eric Scott said she was simply written out, as was baby Charlie. In hindsight would it have hurt the scriptwriters to have thrown in an extra line for Cindy to say about what she died from? it would have saved us fans so much angst over the matter.

It is unlikely that scripwriters are thinking of us and our feelings. So sad!

It would have been even easier to say they had grown up and moved away or were at college--John Curtis too. Then they wouldn't have had to cast the roles, but there would have been some continuity.
