Here is what Jon posted on Facebook. My condolences to Jon and his family:
Life is too short. My dear mother Marion Walmsley passed from this earthly existence on Sunday, January 3, at the age of 94, after an eighteen-year struggle with Alzheimer's Disease. Mum was an adventurer. Her life took her from her home in England where she served in the Battle of Britain as a member of the RAF, to Southern California, where she and I spent countless hours on television and film sets, making many wonderful friends; to her retirement years, RV'ing with my dad Les, from the Arizona desert to the lakes of British Columbia. She was an embarassingly proud mother and a loving grandmother, with a great sense of humour and an unwavering, positive, British spirit. In July 2015, Mum set off on another road trip, accompanying my wife Marion and I on a cross-country trip to our new home in Southern Maine. Despite her age and illness, Mum loved the trip, re-telling all the old stories and singing the old songs as we drove through the mountains and across the great plains. Now, at last, she has set off on the greatest adventure of all. Her passing was very peaceful, surrounded by loved ones. I will always picture my mother in her idea of "heaven" - sitting alongside my dad in two camping chairs with their fishing poles, lines stretching out to a clear mountain lake. I love you Mum. Thank you for being you. Rest in peace.

Wow, that was a lovely tribute he gave. I'm so sorry that she passed, yet grateful that it was so peaceful and surrounded with love. Rest well Miss Marion.

I, too, am sorry to hear of Jon's loss. At 94 she lived a good, long life, but it is always hard to lose a loved one.
