Watching another Beulah Bondi movie on TCM called Remember the Night (1940). She plays Fred MacMurray's mother. It also stars Barbara Stanwyck. Short synopsis: Just before Christmas, Lee Leander (Stanwyck) is caught shoplifting. It is her third offense. She is prosecuted by New York District Attorney, John Sargent (MacMurray). He postpones the trial because it is hard to get a conviction at Christmas time. But he feels sorry for her and arranges for her bail, and ends up taking her home to his mother for Christmas. Surrounded by a loving family (in stark contrast to Lee's own family background) they fall in love. Along the way they have a run-in with a Pennsylvania sheriff, meet each others' parents, and eventually fall in love. John's mother (Bondi), however, disapproves, and warns Lee to stay away, lest she damage John's career. Not wanting to cause trouble, Lee resolves to leave the man she loves.
I was watching The Love Boat yesterday on METV,and Morgan Stevens was on he played the best man,and he was married to the sister of the bride. Also Denver Pyle was on,he played the grooms grandfather.

Beulah Bondi spotted in a movie called "One Foot in Heaven" (1941) starring Fredric March and Martha Scott. Beulah portrays a very straight laced church parishioner and influential townswoman Lydia Sandow who goes against the very logical minister (March) when he moves his family to her town to preach in her church. Although a small role, Beulah makes a big impact whenever she is on the screen.

Of all things, I started watching an old episode of Barnaby Jones (S6 Ep 5; 10/20/77 called The Damocles Gun). Much to my surprise, one of the guest stars was Lee Purcell (Bobby Strom the wing walker). As pretty as ever. I thought I'd look her up and found a photo of her from Nov 2015 at the 19th Annual Hollywood Film Awards. She is currently 69 years old. Talk about aging gracefully! She looks great!

I met Lee Purcell at the Walton's 40th Anniversary in Los Angeles at the Wilshire Ebell Theatre on 9/29/2012. I got her autograph and she was looking great. Very friendly too. Her and Judy Norton (Mary Ellen) are very good friends. If I remember correctly at one time the two of them were roommates.
I collect anything to do with Dr Pepper. Be a Pepper! I'm a Pepper!

Received a Tweet about a movie airing tonight at 8PM on TCM called Caged (1950) starring Eleanor Parker. I've seen it before but plan on watching it again. If you notice on the far left side of the photo that was attached to the tweet, it's Ellen Corby. She portrayed one of the inmates in the cell block named Emma Barber, a not so smart girl. One of her lines in the movie was, "Who's this Pearl Harbor, anyway? Is she an inmate?" LOL!! Anyway Eleanor Parker is thrown in jail for being an accessory to robbery and becomes "hardened" after 15 months in prison. It's a little over the top, but an interesting movie. Agnes Moorehead plays the warden.

The Wingwalker with Lee Purcell as Bobbi Strom was on INSP yesterday. That's the episode where Tom Bower(Curt Willard) was the pilot.

I watched it a couple of years ago. I wanted to see Eleanor Parker's other work besides The Sound of Music. Interesting movie.
By the way the actor who played Chad (the guy Erin was going to run away with and marry) played semi-regular cast member Fred in Roseanne as the guy who knocked up her sister Jackie.
