Eight is Enough, Season 3, “Mother’s Rule”
It’s Thursday night in 1979, the rest of the family is out for the evening, and Tom decides to watch a little tv. Be sure to turn on the sound.

As Time Goes By, Season 4, Episode 1. Jean asked Lionel if he remembered The Waltons. She said maybe they should do the “good night” routine , since there now people sleeping in all of the bedrooms.

Not really a Waltons sighting, but today I saw a young Rosanna Arquette (daughter of Lewis Arquette a.k.a. J.D. Pickett) in a season 3 episode of Eight is Enough. Also, that’s Willie Aames, who was a regular on Eight is Enough, with her. He appeared in an episode of The Waltons.

And I saw Lewis Arquette on an episode of Gimme a Break!
He played a fat guy in Nell's weight loss group. At first I felt bad that Lewis felt compelled to take this somewhat demeaning role. Sad that such a talented actor played such a cringe role. I was thinking he was finding it hard to find good roles and took anything that he was offered.
But then I checked IMDB and he had many subsequent roles in much better quality shows until he passed away in 2001.

Watching Emergency! again Nurses Wild S1 Ep 6 and both Kip Niven, Rev. Marshall and Victor Izay, Dr Vance were both in it. Kip played an armed robber who was shot by store owner Victor Izay. Sadly the store owner had a heart attack and died.
Victor Izay was also in the episode Kids S2 Ep2. He played the judge in the child abuse case that was brought against a child's parents by Dr. Brackett.
Kip Niven appeared again in the episode Peace Pipe S2 Ep 5. He played Stan Taylor father of a child who was the victim of a drunk driver.

Another nod to Will Geer maybe? Eight is Enough and The Waltons were produced by the same company, Lorimar. Many of the writers, producers, and directors who worked on The Waltons also worked on Eight is Enough. Most likely it was a way for Lorimar to advertise their other show.

I didn't have a chance to go through all 38 pages of this thread and apologize if this has already been posted. I found Cousin' Zadok (Woodrow Chambliss) on an episode of Andy Griffith, portraying a farmer Harlan Robinson on S6E14. titled - The Church Organ. (1965). That is fifteen years before he came traipsing down from Big Spruce on The Waltons. He died only one year after he appeared on The Waltons.at age 66.

^ I've seen Harlan a number of times in various programmes. I just never made the connection between him and Zadoc.

Cissy Wellman (Cissy Walker) from the Walton's is among several celebrity guests appearing at Marshfield Cherry Bloom Festival this year. In Missouri. This is a link to the panel of celebrities where she spoke about working with Elvis (even kissing Elvis). She also mentioned she's been working recently and appearing in a few new films. She seems to be such a lively sweet person. www.facebook.com/MOCherryBlossomFest/videos/385174310176257

I saw Robert Donner in a Season 4 “Eight is Enough” episode today. The family was in Hawaii, and Mary and Joanie kept running into him. They were afraid because they thought he was following them. He thought Mary and Joanie were private investigators hired by his wife to follow him because he was having an affair.
