I saw Bob Marsic who played Sam Miller the student who needed glasses in The Emergence S4 Ep8 in an episode of Little House On The Prairie. Here Come the Brides S4 Ep 12. He played Luke Simms who Nellie Oleson attempted to run off and elope with.

Melody Thomas who plays Darlene, the daughter of a used car lot owner in the Waltons and also one who Ben has his eyes on, has a 44 year career (still even today ) playing Nikki on "The young and the restless". I admit I've never seen the soap opera but when I was watching the Waltons episode "The go-getter" today with a younger friend, she spotted the character right away. Apparently Melody got the part on the soap opera only two years after the Waltons. Attachment Deleted

Her caregiver in the show is non other than Flossiekid's mom, Nora Marlow.

Flossiekid's mom, Nora Marlow. For future reverence, it's 'Marlowe' with an 'e' (like Anne Shirley).

Thank you, first of all, to Easton for catching the misspelling of my Mom’s name during wacokyd’s post. I mentioned in an earlier thread that at the 40th anniversary celebration of The Waltons, during the “In Memoriam” part, my Mom was the only person whose name was misspelled. But, at least she was remembered!
My whole life I’ve had to tell everyone my name is “Tracey with an ‘e’ I just never thought people would think Marlowe was without an “e”. But how kind of wacokyd to even bring up that unique “Twilight Zone.” It was one of only a handful of TZ episodes where there were only 2 actors on the screen for the whole show.
Funny story: my Mom was NOT a very good driver and in the scene at the cemetery, she had to drive slowly and stop the car at a specific mark so the camera angle and lighting could enhance the scene. But my Mom missed the mark over and over and over. The director suggested perhaps they should have the script girl, dressed like my Mom, drive the car up to the mark and then they could cut to my Mom in the driver’s seat.
As you can imagine, my Mom was horribly embarrassed. But, her co-star, the wonderful English actress, Gladys Cooper, said something like “Heaven’s NO! Nora can certainly do this.” Then she turned to my Mom and said, “Nora, you can bloody hell do this. I know you’re nervous that you might hit someone in the crew, but don’t worry, my dear, that is why the Mr. Serling has insurance!”
Mom nailed it on the next take.

Thanks for the first laugh of the day, and I haven't even made coffee yet!
That reminds me of Kathy Bates in the parking lot scene in 'Fried Green Tomatoes'.

It was 14 years after his last Waltons appearance. Robert Donner appeared today on 1992's "In the heat of the night" as the main evil character. We laughed when he was a chicken thief on the Waltons but there was no laughing this time as he was a con man, thief and murderer.

^ Robert was on Columbo last night playing a guy in charge of parking meters in Los Angeles. He spent most of his screen time waiting for Columbo to talk to him. In another episode featuring George Hamilton, Robert played an 'adult video store' owner with a pony tail. He was quite funny in both. He really had a knack for comedy.

I saw Todd Susman on a Season 3 episode of Eight is Enough. He played a mechanic. He was Jason’s friend, Ted Lapinsky, on The Waltons.

A sort of Walton's sighting. I was watching an episode of Gunsmoke and noticed the director was Philip Leacock who also directed a number of episodes of The Waltons. I went to IMDB and he directed a number of episodes of both shows.

I watched a 2-part Eight is Enough episode this week that I think could be a tribute to Will Geer. It was the Season 3 episode “You Won’t Have Nicholas to Kick Around Anymore” which aired in 1978 just a few months after Will Geer died. Young Nicholas runs away from home after he accidentally starts a house fire and thinks the family doesn’t want him anymore. He had seen a newspaper article about a group of senior citizens. One of them was Sam, a character played by Will Geer in a previous episode, so Nicholas decides to go find him and live with him and be his grandson. Sadly, he learns that Sam has recently died. A couple of other Walton sightings in this episode: Lucille Benson (Tillie in “The Fledgling”) Also, Jeff Cotler, Kami’s brother, played a recurring role as a friend of Nicholas on Eight is Enough. He was in this episode.

flossieskid Tracey, that's hilarious! Made all the funnier by picturing that line delivered in an English accent.

Two sightings. I saw Catherine Burns, Miss Pollard in The Substitite, on an episode of Emergency. Gossip S4 E3. She played Nurse Ann and in another episode of Emergency, 905-Wild S4 Ep 22 David Huddleston , AJ Covington in The Literary Man, appeared as veternarian Doc Coolidge.
