Lots of Waltons in here.
Well I'll be. The chick that broke Jason's heart is doing the same darn thing in this show too.

I saw actress Billie Bird a Season 2 episode of Eight is Enough. She appeared on two episodes of The Waltons. In “The Career Girl” she was the woman who hired Erin to be a waitress, and in “The Fledgling” she was a woman who bought a bus ticket from John Boy.

Since today is Presidents' Day, I would like to remind all my Waltons fans family that Will Geer played George Washington on a two part episode of Bewitched.

Since today is Presidents' Day, I would like to remind all my Waltons fans family that Will Geer played George Washington on a two part episode of Bewitched. You'd think that Geer would have made a better Ben Franklin, but I don't think he was ever cast as such. Looks as if he did have a supporting role in parts of The Lives of Benjamin Franklin, a 1974 bicentennial-related TV miniseries, wherein several other actors portrayed Franklin at various stages of his life. I think that Richard Thomas played Jimmy Carter on stage.

I think that Richard Thomas played Jimmy Carter on stage. Yes, Richard Thomas played President Carter on stage in Camp David.
Here is a picture of Richard with President Carter at opening night.

This morning, on a 1972 episode of Emergency!, Lynn Carlin played the mother of a teen drug overdose victim. Lynn Carlin played John's classmate Eula Mae in The Prophecy episode and of course, later in the series became Ep Bridges' wife.
Also in this episode was Melissa Gilbert. She had a very minor role with only a few words spoken. I had no idea it was Melissa during the scene but then afterwards I thought, wait was that Melissa. I checked IMDB and she is listed as uncredited.

I watched an episode of The Andy Griffith Show last night, and Helen Kleeb, who plays Miss Emily Baldwin, appeared as a woman whose husband was in one of the cells at the Sheriff's office. I saw her too. The episode is Andy & The New Mayor.from S3E3, aired October 1962. She portrayed Mrs Jess Morgan who, as you say, was married to a fellow in one of the jail cells.

After searching for quite some time for the late 1970s-early ‘80s tv show Eight is Enough on every channel I could think of with no luck, I finally decided to buy seasons 1 and 2. I have been watching an episode every day, and I’m about halfway through Season 2 now. Yesterday I finally got to watch the episode I remember best. It’s the 2 part Christmas episode from Season 2, Yes Nicholas, There is a Santa Claus. I love this episode because it features Will Geer, who plays an elderly man who breaks into the Bradford house on Christmas Eve and steals all their Christmas presents. Nicholas, the youngest child, wakes up and sees him, and thinks he is Santa Claus. In the end, the Bradfords, in a very Walton way, forgive the old man and invite him to join their family for Christmas. These two young men also appeared in this episode. That’s Thad Geer, Will’s son, on the left, and Nicholas Hammond (Theodore Albert Claypool, Jr.) on the right.

Nicholas, the youngest child, wakes up and sees him, and thinks he is Santa Claus. This theme sounds familiar. It probably has been used in many stories around Christmas. The one I recall is the Dr Seuss story of The Grinch who Stole Christmas, who came down to Whoville and dressed as Santa Claus, stole away with gifts and anything else that had to do with Christmas.. Nicholas's counterpart is Cindy Lou Who who wakes up for a glass of water, to find the Grinch who she thinks is Santa, heading off with all their gifts & tree.

Johnny, that’s exactly the theme I was thinking of while watching it. In fact, I initially described the Will Geer character as a “Grinchy Grandpa” but changed it before hitting the “create post” button.

This is sort of the opposite of Walton Sightings. This is Sightings that never existed but you could've seen existed.
Kami Cotler- I could see her playing Pippi Longstockings and Ramona Quimby
Mary Elizabeth McDonough- I can actually see the season 1 Mary Elizabeth play Margaret Simon from Are You There God It's Me Margaret.
JJudy Norton --- if a sequel to To Kill A Mockingbird existed she could have been a teenage or 20's Scout
Eric Scott--- I can see Eric playing Holden in Catcher In the Rye
Ellen Corby --- if Agatha Christie's Jane Marple was an American, Ellen as Jane Marple
Will Geer- I see Will playing Polonius in Hamlet
Richard Thomas-- after the Waltons I could see Richard play Walter Mitty.
