I am amazed @ everyone's sharp eye! I just became apart of this forum and it's so much fun. I live in Alaska and we just got 3 feet of snow. More is coming. Time to watch my Waltons dvd's. Loving this forum!

Watching an episode of Maude "Maude's Nephew" S4 Ep21 and Beth Raines who played Cassie in The Grandchild is in it. She is playing Ellie Byrnes.

The 1980 movie Battle Beyond the Stars is on right now on Comet TV starring Richard Thomas. I've never seen it before and have been flipping around so have only seen parts. Seems like a cheap/poor attempt at copying Star Wars, which came out three years earlier.

I assume that this had been mentioned already in this thread but by chance I tuned into an episode of The Andy Griffith Show . It was from 1963 and the episode titled either "Barney's New Car" or "Barney's First Car." It was jarring to see Ellen Corby playing a sweet little old lady selling her low mileage car to Barney - when she actually was part of a ring of scam artists pushing broken down automobiles on unsuspecting folks. Grandma Walton would not have been pleased! ;-)

I also just watched Winchester 73 - a 1950 movie with Will Geer. He played Wyatt Earp. Black and White movie.

The movie Shane was on INSP Sunday night. I've seen it many times and until now never noticed Ellen Corby was in it. She played Liz Torrey

Just watched a 70's movie last night "Terror on the 40th Floor"... recognized the actress Lynn Carlin from the Walton's. She played Sara Griffith (Ep Bridges wife) on the Waltons.
Lynn would be 83 now.

Today, I saw Will Geer in a 1972 two part episode of Bewitched. He played George Washington who got zapped into the 20th Century. Then I saw Lynn Hamilton (Verdie) in a 1985 episode of Highway to Heaven.

Saw John Crawford on two shows Saturday night.
First, he was in a 1973 episode of The Rookies where he played a police sergeant. Radames Pera (Paul Mann in The Ceremony) was also in that episode of the Rookies.
Then the next hour, I saw him in a 1967 episode of The Time Tunnel.
Also Ep Bridges related, I saw Lynn Carlin (Eula Mae and Sarah Griffith) in an episode of Emergency!

Saw Ralph Waite in the 1970 movie Five Easy Pieces. Ralph plays a rather odd classical violinist and pianist. This is the first time I've watched this entire movie. Strange but good movie. There is a scene in the movie that often makes it on lists of best movie scenes. Back in college, I took a movie appreciation class and we discussed the scene. The main character is played by Jack Nicholson. The scene involves ordering wheat toast. It is a great scene...
