Over the weekend, I saw Will Geer in an episode of The Sixth Sense. He was a blind reverend. I've never seen this show before but just happened to flip by it and saw Will. This morning, I saw John Crawford (Epp Bridges) on an episode of Charlie's Angels. He was a police lieutenant and wore a suit and trench coat rather than a police uniform. He was also kind of a jerk. In the same episode, I noticed a house that looked very familiar. It was the Baldwin Sister's beach house from The Seashore episode. I google mapped it... goo.gl/maps/5qaoz74qyX37ShxG6

Here's a sighting on the Waltons: Jackie Earle Haley. He has a 15 second one line part as a kid in Olivia's class on the episode "The Emergence".. You remember him as a star in the "Bad News Bears" movies and a great role as a Cutter in "Breaking Away", one of my top 5 alltime movies. My favorite scene of him in this movie was when he was punching the clock and his boss called him "Shorty". He punched the clock allright!. Too bad the Waltons directors didn't recognize what a talent they had and used him more.

I just was watching Inherit the Wind, a 1999 TV-movie remake starring Jack Lemmon (as Drummond) and George C. Scott (as Brady). Ronnie Claire Edwards turns up as one of the townspeople: she has a scene with Beau Bridges (as Hornbeck) just 13 minutes into the film. The film is playing for free on the Tubi streaming service. The gazebo in the town square and then a full on shot of the Walton's school/first church...

I did not notice! Thanks for pointing that out.
I don't recall that The Waltons ever addressed the ongoing creation/evolution debate.
It probably wasn't even open for discussion as long as Grandma was around. "You take those monkeyshines outside! Go!"

John Boy mentioned the Scopes trial in the one where Ludie burned down the school.

^ I couldn't find it on YouTube and I don't think we can post YouTube videos here, but I found the video on Facebook. Here is the link to the page where you should be able to watch it. I watched it and I'm not even on Facebook. You'll get a page of videos first but Will's video should open automatically:

Thanks for posting that. I had forgotten how much I used to enjoy watching Hee Haw, even as silly as it was. It was good to see Buck Owens, Roy Clark, Minnie Pearl, and all the others there with our favorite Grandpa. I love that they sang This Land is Your Land. It was written by Woody Guthrie who was a good friend of Will Geer’s. They were both blacklisted during the “Red Scare” of the 1950s, and Guthrie even lived at Will Geer’s Theatricum Botanicum for awhile. I wonder if Will Geer chose that song as a tribute to his friend.

^ No problem. I was hoping it was the video you saw. I'm just sorry that I couldn't find it on YouTube so I could post the video instead of the link to Facebook.
