Whoo! HUGE sigh of Relief! Got all my items back from Ralph Waite!! ;D Took a mega risk and sent him three items that were previously signed by Earl Hamner, Michael Learned & Joe Conley and also a 5x7. Friend of mine got a success a while back and Ralph included a note saying he’d no longer be signing TTM, and I was crushed as I still needed his name on these items for my multi-signed project. So I wrote Ralph a very nice letter explaining about my multi-signed project and that if he could sign them I’d be most grateful and if he couldn’t if he’d at least return them unsigned. Never one to disappoint Ralph graciously personalized and signed all four of my items!! ;D Extremely happy!! I plan on taking the three large photos with me to this year’s annual Waltons reunion in Lynchburg, VA as Mary McDonough and David Harper and quite possibly a couple other cast members will be this year’s special VIP guests and have them add their name’s to these as well!! ;D SASE: 8x10 Photo signed by Ralph and Earl: 8x10 Photo signed by Ralph and Michael: 8x11 Photo signed by Ralph and Joe: 5x7 Photo: Sent: May 14th 2011 Replied: June 9th 2011 Days Taken: 27 Address Used: Ralph Waite P.O. Box 810 Palm Desert, CA 92261-0810 USA RYAN-J

wow Ryan you are very lucky when it comes to getting autographs back, I have wrote to a few people in the past but none waltons related. I would like to do that soon, however I have a question. I come from the UK and whenever I wrote to people because I had no idea where to get american stamps from I always used to add like 5$ or more for postage, and always got my items back, I am wondering if you think that would be ok to do that when writing to the walton cast? Because still to this day I have no idea where I can get the stamps from

aww thats nice of you, thank you for the offer but I am gonna try it with posting the money for postage with the photo, thank you anyway It's not really required that you send money for the photo, many celebrities are happy to send them out free of charge as long as you cover return postage, pretty much all the walton cast are happy to send a signed photo for free. Although with Ralph Waite, you'll need to send him an index card or photo, since he no longer sends his own out. If you ever change you mind and still need stamps, I'm always happy to help ya out. I've got several friends in Canada and the UK that I help now and then with getting US stamps. Best of luck with your requests! RYAN-J

Ok great, I just thought id ask because the ones I have sent letters too have not charged but I have heard that some do, whether that be true or not I dont know ;D I know my first letter I ever sent which was of course to Betty White, I had no idea of anything what to say or do but she sent me a picture back even paid for the postage, made my year that did then of course I found out after that, tht you need to include a SAE for them to send back stupid question here, whats an "index card"? I may sound really silly right there lol and I apologise :s

Betty White is such a sweetheart! I wrote to her as well and she signed my items and also filled out my little Question and Answer card. ;D An index card is basically a small card that comes in various sizes, most people use them to write little notes on as reminders, but many autograph collectors send them out to be signed. I like to make mine customized by adding text and graphics to them using a computer program, but some prefer just to send them a blank card. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Index_cardRYAN-J

Went to the reunion this past weekend and got Mary, Jon, Eric and David to sign some items for me and also add their names to a couple of my multi-signed projects!! They had a limit of two autographs per person on Saturday night after the banquet, but I ran into Mary, Jon and David in the hotel lobby sunday morning and they happily agreed to sign a couple more for me. Didn't see Eric, so still need his name on the two 8x10's. have a friend who is willing to help me get the rest at the December reunion in New Jersey, so I'm pretty excited about that! ;D RYAN-J
