Well, one person said , " That would be hot!" so is this place better without me?- BE HONEST It is quiet without you. Part of my question about how people use their PC is to try to find out if the decline of the amount of people who go online and visit forums and such, is simply people doing other things. The way I remember this forum about four years ago there were a lot more people participating on a regular basis. You, Ryan, Sportsfan etc... were on here almost everyday and there was a lot of laughter and such (and some good rodeos too). No, it wasn't the funniest board I have been on, but people checked in hourly/several times a day and contributed to a lot of different topics. Now it seems so dead. Go look at the keeper thread and see how many just don't stick around anymore. Is it the board or is it that people just don't do forums as much anymore?

"What if jim bob started dating Drew" Would Elizabeth grab Grandpa's shotgun and kill Drew? Who would Drew take to the prom. Jim-Bob? Elizabeth? Someone else? Will Ike Godsey's new job as 3rd base coach with the New York Yankees interfere with his job at Ike Godsey's General store? Will Babe Ruth visit the Waltons? Will he give Hobie Shanks some tips? After Yancey Tucker won $1,732.65 at the Rockfish lottery, will he use some of that money to pay for repairing the Church roof after the Alien Space ship crashed into it? Will 2nd Curt come back and demand custody of John Curtis? Will the ghost of Lutie Bascomb haunt Jason and Toni on their honeymoon? These questions and more will be answered in the next episode of SOAP.! (Welcome back, Awesome.)

There are a lot of people who have come and gone since I've been on here. I still enjoy reading posts and participating in threads. btw...welcome back awesome

Why would we be wondering where you are if we didn't miss you? To be honest, the first thing I did when I read your post was to visit the message board for IMDB to see what you stirred up.

The Waltons Forum has always had just a handful of people who participate regularly at any given time. It has been like that since the first Waltons Forum back in the late 1990s. People come, stay awhile, then they go on to other things. There are 3 or 4 of us who have been around since the early days of the forum and seem to stick around. Others discovered the forum more recently, but they seem to stick around too. Most people join the forum, stay awhile, then move on. That's okay. The forum can meet the needs and interests of all these people.
I do think other forms of social networking, such as Facebook, have become so popular that forums like this one seem to have taken a backseat. There are several Waltons groups on Facebook where people discuss the show and other things, similar to our discussions here. Several people who used to post regularly on the forum are on Facebook, and I interact with them there. Some people don't do Facebook, but they like the Forum, so I think it is important to keep it open for people like that.

My Mama use to say, " If you let others take you out of what is your life that gives them two lives to live and leaves you without one". She was a dynamic woman, very smart and had power wisdom. Stay. We are all better people for you being here.

Welcome back! I haven't been as active personally, because I'm very busy at work now and prior to that, was trying to survive a terrible winter that included a very sick horse, frozen pipes in my barn and pasture, etc. And just this weekend my refrigerator died. Yep...it's been quite the circus. I haven't cracked open my personal laptop in 2 months (I check in here from my phone.)

I stay with this Walton social site because with work and everything else, I just don't have time for any other sites. I am on Facebook but never really us it. Just not enough time in the day. I like this forum and the people here.
