Great pics! I hope he comes to the reunion in Oct. in Va. Do you think there's any chance he will? I haven't heard him say, but he did say to me on Sunday that he was planning on going to VA in April. I don't remember what he said it was for. I will be in Virginia in April. I wonder where he will be? Would love to meet him! |

I would like to know too. Last year he was in Virginia to be presented with an award by the Virginia legislature, and I regretted that I didn't go and see that after I saw pictures from some friends who were there. If he's going to make a public appearance somewhere, I might consider going. He may just be going to visit family though.

The Schuyler Community Center's monthly Senior Luncheon was today; attendees for the luncheon and museum guests had a surprise visitor. Mr Earl came by, and spoke for a few minutes with the group. More about his visit will be in an upcoming issue of The Blue Ridge Chronicles.  |

Earl sends: Dear Family and Friends, “I’M HOME! And the first thing I want to do is to thank you for your thoughts and prayers, your encouragement and support, and for the unmistakable love that arrived with each message. Best medicine in the world! I also want to thank the folks at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center for their incredible warmth and heartfelt care. In the process of removing a kidney (on my 91st birthday!!) my surgeon found some additional health issues and treated them also. Nothing I can’t handle because I’m a tough old rooster. And just in case you’re wondering, the keyboard on my computer is complaining from lack of use. I intend to put it to work. Virginia Hugs by way of California! Old Earl Attachments:

Going through my cell phone contacts, I found Earl Hamner listed! I have never phoned Earl Hamner in my life nor do I know his number! Now, I know he wrote for The Twilight Zone but this is just a little too weird! Looking at it, I see email and Facebook contacts but no telephone, so I assume this comes of liking his Facebook page or something. My computer and cell phone seem to be a case of the left hand knowing a little too much about what the right hand is doing.
