I am checking in to let you know that I have been having issues staying logged in on the forum for the past several days. I'm also getting lots of error messages, telling me that the website isn't available. That's one reason I haven't been around much, plus I've been busy with my mother's birthday. We celebrated on Saturday and it was very nice. Anyway, I wondered if anyone else was having these problems, or is it just me? I discovered this morning that I only have these problems when I'm using a Firefox browser. The forum seems to be working just fine in Internet Exolorer and Safari. I don't have trouble with any other website using Firefox, just this forum. After checking with Proboards support this morning, I found out that many people are having the same issues with their forums, and Proboards is working to get it fixed. Hopefully this will happen soon, as I really don't like Internet Explorer and I much prefer Firefox.

I use Google Chrome. I too get the error messages saying the website isn't available. Leaving the site and coming back usually takes care of it. Also I sometimes get the website isn't available when I click "create post" I've had the same problem at Frontier Girl board which is also on Proboards.
Happy Birthday 90th birthday to your mother. I really enjoyed reading your daughters stories about her and hope that sometime in the future she can continue writing them.

A couple of times last week I would get 'site not found' when I tried to get here, but no other issues. I use FireFox.

I had trouble withy PC, but I'm on my iPhone now and it works. My computer would not let me stay logged in though. I'm gonna try tonight when I get home from work, and see if it still giving me a problem.
Glad your mom had a great birthday!

I haven't had a problem with the website not being available or "unfound".... but, last night and this morning, I can't seem to stay logged in.... Once I move from the Home page to Recent Threads, or anywhere else, I get logged off -- not fully, but have to click on "Login" and I'm back on the Home page but can't go further.... weird.
It has taken over three hours of deleting internet history, rebooting, going to the website, logging in, etc.... so, couldn't even do this post -- until now..... UTTER MISERY !
It appears to me that there has been much less posting during the last 12-18 hours.... so, perhaps others are having the same problem....

I've received some emails from forum members who are having similar problems. Proboards is aware of the problem, and hopefully they will get it fixed soon. It is not just this forum. Other proboard forums are experiencing the same issues.
Most of the problems seem to be with the Firefox and Chrome browsers. My advice right now is to try Internet Explorer. I am using the Safari browser on my iPad right now with no problems.

I'm on my iPad, and it lets me post.

Alrighty. I am adding to this thread in the hope that normal service has been resumed.. In the meantime, thanks to Brenda for her informative email and all other help. It would appear Proboards have sorted their gremlins. mercantile

I had been trying for 24-48 hours to post anything, No such luck. And I always got kicked out when signing in, doesn't matter what browser I used.
Hope it's better now.

This is the problem I was having since early yesterday morning. It's been a little over 34 hours now & I am finally able to stay "signed in" & post.

The forum seems to be behaving itself now. I don't know what the Proboards folks did, but apparently they fixed it. Let's hope it stays that way.

Proboards has also been having problems with a spam bot since at least February. The spam bot has been posting messages about Kitchen Ware. I have been helping out as a moderator at Frontiergirl board and have cleaned up nearly a dozen of these spams this week alone. Here is the proboards support thread about the spam problem support.proboards.com/thread/446786/kitchen-ware-spammers I'm wondering if this is playing into the current problems.

The problems are caused by something called CLOUDFLARE. I'm not exactly sure what Cloudflare is, but Proboards recently started using it. I think it is supposed to help load forums faster and protect against threats. Proboards is working with Cloudflare to get the kinks ironed out.

HELP ME... I have added 5 or 6 pictures on my photo gallery... The problem is, I keep trying to respond to OTHER threads on the forum, but everytime I click on the "Reply" button, it thinks I want to post a photo on my gallery!! In the immortal words of Charlie Brown... ARRRRGGGGGGGGG!!!
