I guess She was alright sometimes. She would fly off the handle at the dumbest stuff though.
She loved the kids.

If you look at it in the context that the Livy character was a regular human being, like all of us, and we all fly off the handle on occasion, or get grumpy, or get judgmental, or overwhelmed with work and kids and sometimes we feel like we are going crazy, but when we are feeling good, we're fun to be around.

Some here act like Olivia was a real character. Keep in mind that this part, played by a good actress, WAS NO DOUBT WRITTEN BY MEN. Don't shoot the messenger.. and what is baby rabies? I get the baby rabies term kind of a slang term for having so many babies. But that's not like what got her sick. She was just fertile!

Baby Rabies This is one definition and from one source Crazy person: "Oh my GOD! If I don't have a baby soon it will be too late and I will be unfulfilled! I want a baby right now!" Sane person: *shakes head* "Worst cast of baby rabies I ever saw..." www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=baby%20rabie

Her loving, firm, protective, yet vulnerable qualities.

I am new here and just read your question...I must say I absolutely love love love Olivia Walton. Yes I know she is just a character on a tv show lol but I feel as a Christian wife & mother there is so much to be gained from watching her. I am actually in shock to read here that some dont like her!! To each their own I love how she is a submissive wife yet respectfully stands her ground in things she firmly believes in. Even when faced with difficult circumstances she always chooses to show love. She is compassionate. She loves her family and puts them before herself in all she does which is kinda rare these days. She typically knows when to hold her tongue and doesn't "stir the pot". Just a few of my thoughts!

I'm a big Olivia fan. I love how in tune she is to her kids and always seems to know the right thing to say. I love how she never loses hope about saving John. I love her strength, even when times look bleak. And I love seeing the loving, compassionate side of her when she took in the baby foster child, when she took are of the English kids, when she found the girl outside the back door in the Foundling, etc.

I liked the fact that she held up well during some of the toughest times. She never for the most part let things get to her. It seems like the harder the times, the tougher she got at holding it together.

I always admired her obviously delight in and constant affection for her husband. She really loved that man! Plus, I thought her hair was really pretty when she wore it long and blonder.
