Kelvin, Must be nice to live in a climate like that. Hopefully when we retire we can go to a warmer climate in the winter months, like Florida or Arizona. Dianne and Tracey are very good at answering questions. They have a lot of knowledge about The Waltons. They are good about replying too. Dianne and I correspond quite often. Tracey is the Walton Dictionary! I just take it as it comes.

Hi Dinannecreative
In England it can go down well below zero (C) and when I was a kid we had snow for months on end (and us kids loved it) Wiltshire, yep I been through there many, many times, any particular part.
sorry to be so long answering BUT its the time difference here as I type its 12.45 (just after noon) and I write for about three hours now before calling it a day for Dinner and then out for the evenign walk with Sunny (our 22 month old cocker spaniel/border collie cross)

I had heard that Wiltshire is a beautiful area. Someday I'd like to visit England. If I was to, which area would you say is a must see? Dianne

diannecreative: thats so hard, Hampshire, Doreset, Somerset, then there's The Lake district (the weather here can be wet and misty but its well worth it) The Peak district all jump to mind. its a small island really but there is so many different landscapes and places packed full of history.

Kelvin, I love to grab a book at the library and read about different places. I think that England will be my next research project. Have you lived there all your life? I'm from Oregon, was born here, but raised in the Washington area, then I moved back. Thanks for the info. I look forward to talking more about it with you. Hampshire sounds nice. Do all these areas have castles? Dianne

diannecreative
I was born in Derby, lived in the Peak District, Leicestershire and Lincolnshire, until we moved here just over two years ago.
Most places have a castle, and all have history lots of it.
anytime you can email me at kaylester.renton@gmail.com,
