I wanted to ask a lot more questions at the reunion but I did'nt want to be a pest to Kami or Mary. I'm not a very outgoing person either. That is one things that makes reading this forum interesting. Kami and Mary did put a lot of effort into getting around to everyone. Does anybody have any plans yet to go to the reunion next year.

Hello Kelvin,
You are probably right but like I said, I'm not a very out going person. I kind of thought that if I bugged Mary and Kami too much that it would be a turn off to them. I have'nt heard from Mary in a while but I think she is working on the new show she is in and I remember her saying at the reunion that she was behind on her e-mails. Still need to drag ole David Harper out of the woodwork. I talked to Tom V at the reunion, he was seated at our table, and he said that David had said at the 2004 reunion that he was going to turn over a new leaf and start getting more involved with Waltons fans but he still remains very private. I liked his character a lot on the show and just wondered what he was really like. His character and I had a lot in common. Tom V said that Earl Hamner said that he pretty much played himself. I'd like to meet all the characters that are still alive but I'll probably never get a chance to. Indiana is a long ways from Indiana. If you know anything about any of the cast members that you think I might find interesting let me know. Thanks and take care.

Hi back, I am nowhere near as well informed as so many here. suggest you ask your questions and see who knows. honest they are good folk here and will be able to tell you what you want to know. good luck David, Post your questions and maybe we can all band together and find the answers. Once, around fourth of July celebration, I went into a grocery store. Was wearing sweat pants and in a big hurry to finish my shopping because I was having a huge 4th party at my house. One of the cashiers came running up to me screaming 'Your one of the ghost hunters!' I tried to explain to her that I was in a hurry. She wanted my autograph and for me to tell her where our next investigation would be because she would love to watch us set up. I explained to her that I was in a big hurry, but would love to continue to chat if she wanted to walk with me while I shopped. Sometimes fans don't realize that celebrities have a life outside the media. As I continued my shopping I reminded myself that its all in the job of being in the limelight. Some celebrities remember where their paycheck is coming from and some don't. Just like some fans remember celebrities have a life too, and some don't. While in the hospital a few weeks ago my family had to insist that the hospital gave out no information on me because there were so many calls coming in. The point I'm trying to make is that there comes a lot more than many see with being a celebrities. Some famous people enjoy it, some don't and drop out of the public eye because they tried it and it didn't work for them. David Harper is one who tried it as a kid, but found he enjoys his privacy and didn't want the public eye watching him all the time. Kami has moved away from the screen and chose a life that gives of herself to others in the education field. Judy, the last I heard, is working toward a music career. Eric has his own business. Micheal, as you can see on the forum picture of myself and her, continues theater. Jon Walmsley and his band plays a lot at Disneyland. Richard Thomas, he is everywhere as we can all see. And Mary, we have all been watching her huge contributions to the world. Ralph has been popping in and out of the screen as well. It is a hard life that is reserved for those who really want it. For those who do not, we must respect that as well. I did a radio interview about two months ago here in Oregon. They asked me what the hardest part was about having fans out there who constantly write or try to contact me. I told them that the hardest part is not being able to give enough. Fans are the greatest things to have ... they want to be a big part of your life ... but one can only give so much. Hope this helps David, Dianne

By the way David, We're all friends on the forum ... no need to feel shy here! There isn't anything wrong with being interested and a fan of the Waltons. After all, that is why we are all members of this forum. If you have questions feel free to ask. Dianne

Thanks for the info Dianne. Like I mentioned, I am not a very outgoing person, shy I guess too. Not near as bad as I use to be when I was younger. I'll try to come out of my shell a little more and the information you give me does help. I just wondered how you got in with some of The Waltons cast members as close as you have. I wish I could do the same but I realize they can't give out much private information to just anyone. Let me know if it is possible. I'd like to talk to some of them myself.

Told you folk would respond they are like that here. ask nicely and they will help. I regret to say the only two things I know about Indiana are the race and 'Indian wants me, Lord I cant go back there' from the song.
The beauty of forum is you can ask away and no one will think less of you for it. keep posting and enjoying this freindly place.

Hi again Kelvin,
Yes people on this forum are very nice people. I have lived in Indiana all my life and yes I guess it has some good things but the weather here sucks in the winter time. Every now and then here in the southern part of the state, we will get a big snow but most of the time it is just cold, gloomy and stays just warm enough to have a cold rain and not snow unless you go up to the northern part of the state. Where are you from?

Kelvin,
Must be nice to live in a climate like that. Hopefully when we retire we can go to a warmer climate in the winter months, like Florida or Arizona. Dianne and Tracey are very good at answering questions. They have a lot of knowledge about The Waltons. They are good about replying too. Dianne and I correspond quite often.
