Thought it would be great to start a thread so that those of us here in Virginia can keep everyone posted on the reunion.
Haven't met anyone but Mom (Carolyn Grinnell) so far. The plane was late getting in and everyone had retired by the time I got to the hotel. I think we hit every air pocket out there between Portland and Virginia.
We'll keep you posted as best we can.

Hello all,
It is 9 a.m here in Lynchburg. I just had breakfast with Mary McDonough, Audrey Hamner, Bev Nault, and Carolyn Grinnell.
The sun is shining and ... oops, scratch that last part! It is pouring here and got soaked earlier walking to my rental car. Pray that the rain lets up before the group takes a trip to Schuyler!
Met Tom V ... very nice man. Strange, everyone seems to know who I am ... but until they introduce themselves, I have no idea if they are part of our group or not.
Carolyn has done a wonderful job with this reunion ... what a trooper!
I won't be joining the group to Schuyler, but decided to stay back and rest for the banquet tonight.
Wish you all were here!
Dianne

I'm so glad you had a great time. Sorry, I couldn't use my computer over the weekend because our internet wasn't working at all. Our cable man will come today to fix the internet so we should be able to have it up and running by the time I get home from work..

I'm not sure if this quotes about Earl stated "if things call him home."
But no matter where I am, the call of a night bird, the rumble of a train crossing a trestle, the scent of crab apple, the lowing of a sleepy cow can call me home again. In memory I stand before that small white house, and I can still hear those sweet voices.
