I'm fine everyone and thanks so much for asking. I don't always check all the threads here, so am missing alot. I've been too busy being an admin for a boston terrier rescue auction board on FB. We have monthly auctions there and the benefits go to a chosen Boston Terrier rescue group. Each month is a different rescue from here in the USA. I had no idea it would keep me so busy, but lots of doggy lives being saved and made better!

Good to know you are fine, and helping the dogs, and staying out of trouble! ;D

Yes, staying out of trouble for sure! It's nice not to have to get out on the snowy roads...too many accidents. We just had a lady slide off the road in her SUV into a pond. She was there for 18 hours before a passerby on his bike saw a wheel sticking out and hollered down to see if anyone was there. She hollered back. I don't know how in the world she survived for 18 hours in freezing weather, standing in ice water that seeped in through her broken car window. Her car ended up on its side. She had been on her way to meet her hubby for dinner somewhere and when she didn't show, the cops were called, but nobody was able to locate her. Her first words when she was found by the passerby was "I'm a diabetic". He had some Chex mix with him that he gave her while they waited for the ambulance and cops to get there. She's in ICU now.

Marilyn, a few times over the last several months you've mentioned not checking every thread or category..... and it made me wonder how you "approached" viewing the posts..... To me, the best way to catch everything is to immediately go to "Active Topics" (formerly New Topics or New Threads) -- a quick look and you'll not miss much..... and it's easy to tell if you've already opened a new post previously..... I learned, or picked up on, this when Brenda mentioned it a year ago or so -- going to Active Topics is an efficient way to keep up on everything.... Just trying to help.....

Jeri, what I have been doing is either clicking on the top links at the top of the page when I first get here, or click on General Board and then read a thread that looks interesting. I'm always open to advice that streamlines things! Did you ever get my pm?

Jeri, what I have been doing is either clicking on the top links at the top of the page when I first get here, or click on General Board and then read a thread that looks interesting. I'm always open to advice that streamlines things! Did you ever get my pm? Sorry about the PM, Marilyn -- didn't think it required an answer! You had explained under the Crime Shows thread that you prefer real-life crime shows..... I find that going mainly to the General Board rather cumbersome..... so many threads go off in so many different directions, that it's easy to miss some good stuff..... Going into Active Topics assures you don't miss anything. As long as you log in about 2-3 times a week, anything posted is still visible on that board..... I only go into the General Board if I want to start a thread, 'cuz it can't be done in Active Topics. The top links only show 4 specific threads you have participated in personally, as you know..... Maybe I'm a little anal about this but I feel forum members have a responsibility to read EVERYTHING -- am I nuts, or what ??!! (oh, and, this is of course is not directed at any one member or members )

Jerijet, I have just added a little suggestion at the top of the forum regarding the Active Topics.

Jeri, I just wanted to be sure you got my pm. I didn't want you to think I was ignoring you. ;D It's been so long now that I don't remember the content exactly. In any case, I think you're right about us reading all the threads. It's the respectful thing to do and just maybe one of us can answer a question that someone has.
I've never even noticed the ACTIVE TOPICS link and I've been coming here for a few years now.
