There were at least 2. I think one was a male early on, and then another was female (gave birth) It was reckless of them to have more than one reckless. I remember at one time (may be still true today) it was not uncommon for families to keep a pet name going.... i.e., a favorite name might be used again and again.... my grandparents always had beagles and there was always a Queenie and/or a Lady.... and my parents had two dogs named Careless, about 30 years apart (first one was female, second was male).... Not sure how I feel about this.... and, unfortunately, I occasionally call my current "Annie" by my last dog's name "Minnow" !!! I can agree to this. Grandma Della always named her dogs Suzy. When one Suzy would eventually die, and she got another dog, she named that one Suzy too.
