Hi, Y'all... I know that we're all here because we celebrate the American Family, and American Family values. These are typified by the works of Earl Hamner, Jr. and his creation, THE WALTONS. THE WALTONS proved that you could fight any adversity with love, strength of character and hard work.. It also proved that when neighbours joined neighbours and towns joined with other towns....Well, ANYTHING could happen... Today, with the bad economy, budgets are being cut, and there are layoffs and hiring freezes every where. Public Libraries are helping to take up the slack for schools, but we're being cut back too. I challenge every one on this list who can, to donat a set of THE WALTONS DVDs to your local Public Library. Even if it's only one season at a time. We can be "Library Angels" and make a real difference in our community. Even it we have to join up with a couple of buddies to make a donation of something...Let's go for it. I think Earl would be pleased... JS PS. My library's new copy of THE WALTONS has just been processed, and already has 5 reserves. I did it, and so can we all. js.

I like that idea. I also have a couple dozen of the VHS tapes that I never bother with anymore. I wonder if they be could be used by someone. Surely, VCR's aren't completely out of the picture. (Yet)

What a wonderful idea you have. I donate dvd's, vhs and books to my library every year. I collect what we dont use anymore or want and give them to my local library, They really appreciate it I know.
