Hello Aris I live in the United Kingdom, everyone I know knows the Waltons.
Champlain[/quote] Well.. the last time I stopped to look around, The Waltons were officially part of British folklore! The show is normally running on Entertainment channel at any given time; three repeats a day, plus whole days dedicated to the show for those like me who have been known to indulge.. As an aside, my youngest, aged two, knows the theme tune and the title on the screen. Yay! And speaking of which I'm off now to watch The Beginning from Season nine. Only a few episodes left for me now. :-0 Wow, I know my family members know The Waltons, but of all my friends only one person knows it! Perhaps it's because I'm so young (19) and so the people I hang around with may be too young to know it... or something.

Thanks dewlanna!! If I can get the Waltons theme song, I will get it! I think my phone is maybe 3 yrs old. I cannot connect to the internet with it...does that make a difference? I don't know anything about phones or how to get a new ringtone on it. Hubby always takes care of it.

Hmm I think you can still get it sent to your phone by going to "Buy Ringtones and More" on the website. It will want your serial number, and it'll let you know if you can do it. Just search "The Waltons".

I just went to the site and searched for the Waltons ringtone. They said they don't have it.

I would put money on pretty much anyone aged 20-40 in the UK knowing some phrases from the show, and being able to name characters as well. So I guess at age 19 you are officially the youngest fan I know.. heh.

marilyn,
First you click on Other Services and put your phone number in. Then it should take you to Mobile Web Shop. There is a search box at the top right corner where you type in "The Waltons" and hit the arrow. It should pop up another screen that says "Truetone Results" and it'll be there under it. Click on the arrow next to it and a "Confim Purchase" box will come up.
If you phone is older it could be that it doesn't allow downloadable ringtones. Some older phones just come with several polyphonic ringtones (which don't really sound like normal songs - more like something you'd hear on an 80s video game).
Hope it helps.

dewlanna, I did that. I got to the store for the ringtones and put the Waltons in the search function. Do you find it still there?
I just tried it again, no luck. I can't text on my phone, so maybe it's not made to download a tune.

Aww nuts girlie, what kind of TracFone do you have that can't text? Time for an upgrade! Yeah, they text you a link to download the ringtone, that's probably why you couldn't access it.

Interesting about the ringtones I'm sure it works on a mobile phone somehow too. Also does anyone know or have tried to get this Waltons website proboards on your phone like it shows here? I looked at it a couple times. Confused and not sure where to go from there or how much it costs. Anyway thanks for the info and talk soon waltonsportwriter

I only have a cell for emergencies on the road and I maybe actually use it 3 times a year. Rather than text someone, hubby and I both figured it would be easier and more direct to just call someone? Texting is killing too many people on the roads.

Texting is killing too many people on the roads. I agree Marilyn. Texting and most all calling should not be done while driving. I hate it when people do this and it is so dangerous and stupid. Please pull over to make your calls or texts or do it in a very remote area. You just never know and please always be safe and Happy Memorial Day and honor our veterans. Best wishes waltonsportwriter
