I received my invitation today. I hope I can go. It would be great seeing some of my fellow Walton fans again and meeting the cast members(some of whom I've met before). nctnwaltonsfan, It would be wonderful to have you there! Dianne

I am juster wondering if anyone could tell what goes on at the reunion? Is it a one evening affair or does it go on the whole weekend? Who attends (roughly)? Just curious! I would just love to go and wonder what to expect. Lori Lorijean, If you can make it that would be great! Carolyn has some wonderful things planned. We can talk shop about how to really get Tracey in trivia! Dianne

Well, my daughter and I are discussing it!! We both want to go sooooo bad! One of my grandsons has a birthday on that day and birthdays are a big deal to a 7 year old. We both want to join the Fan Club but just haven't taken the time to do so. She loves "The Waltons" as much as I and we often compare notes and opinions.
Thanks, Lori

Carol, I actually live in Maryland, just 30 miles from Washington, DC. I traveled to the west coast last year just to attend the Walton reunion and so glad I did.....I met my girlfriend of one year, Beth, while were were there. How cool is that! See you in Virginia this October, Big Bruno www.bigbruno.com============================= Re: Walton's Int;l Fan Club Reunion - October 25, « Reply #33 on Jul 21, 2008, 8:14pm » -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- carol, I had heard that Big Bruno plans to go. He lives somewhere in the LA area I think.

Thanks so much for organizing the reunion this year. I have wanted to attend for so long and this year I think I'll finally do it.
A couple of questions so I can plan my arrival and departure smartly. What time do events begin on Oct 25th? Will any events occur on sunday, oct 26th?
I look forward to your replies. Thank you.

Soon fans criss-crossing our beautiful America will be headed to Virginia for a memorable week-end with two special young ladies .... Mary McDonough and Kami Cotler - our beloved "Erin and Elizabeth Walton." If Mother Nature honors our wishes we will witness the beauty of those Virginia mountains ablaze with their magnificent colors. I'm still trying to finalize the plans for Saturday, October 25th. If you want to be a part of the morning activities you need to arrive on Friday, October 24th. When those plans are finalized I will post here. If you plan to attend and have not sent me your form that I mailed you that needs to be returned soon. The cost of the banquet dinner is as follows: Adults @ 50.00 - Children up to 12 years @ $10.00. I know the cost sounds expensive but it is very expensive to have a reunion. If you have not made your lodging reservations remember your reservation must be made by September 26th to be included in our fan club rate. The number of The Kirkley Hotel is 1-434-237-6333 and ask for the fan club rate. I'm trying to find some Walton memorabilia for our silent auction. I am donating some of my personal items that I have duplicates of. For those of you who are arriving earlier in the week the following numbers may be of interest for you: The Lynchburg Visitors Center - 1-800-732-5821 --- The Department of tourism for Nelson County - 1-800-282-8223. I'm looking forward to meeting our new friends and to seeing once again those of you who have been so very supportive over the years. There is nothing better than a "Warm Walton Hug" or the "Clasping of Hands" when Walton fans gather. Kami Colter once said at the California reunion that our fan club was like her extended family. If you have any questions just ask. If I don't know the answer I will find it for you. Please continue to pray especially for my fingers. I'm still experiencing side effects from the chemo. The doctor told me it takes three years for the chemo to get out of our body. On a positive note - I had more scans last week and there were NO cancer cells lurking. I have much to thank God for. See you soon ! Carolyn

Carolyn - So good to hear that the reunion plans are all coming together for you. So good to hear that your clean bill of health continues! I'm sure your fingers will return to normal in time. Our plans do call for us to arrive in Lynchburg on Friday, October 24th. Just tell us where to be and we'll be there. The silent auction sounds like great fun, too. I can't wait to get the details. Looking forward to seeing Mary and Kami and Audrey and everyone in Virginia. TomV

I'm still trying to learn how to use the forum properly but that will probably never happen. My Mom use to tell us children, "If you don't use it you'll loose it." I wish I had time to just be at my computer so I could learn. Maybe one day ! Anyway this message is for Tom V. I don't know where it might end up on the forum but here goes - Tom, you are going to just LOVE Virginia. The beauty of it cannot be described in words. Only one's soul can comprehend what the eyes see. Like I said in an earlier post - if Mother Nature honors our wishes we will witness the beauty of those Virginia mountains. First thing we know you and Lori will be moving to Virginia. Wouldn't that be great !

Hi Carolyn! I found your response, and it's right where it should be. You did well with the computer. They can be forboding, but really aren't. Thanks for the "preview" of Virginia. I can't wait!!

Great to see your post Carolyn.
I've been trying to send you email all the way from Australia, but no luck. It keeps being returned. I've just re-sent you two email I sent you a few weeks ago so we'll see how we go.
I'm beginning to think that "snail mail" is going to be quicker than email for us!
Cheers, Karen
