Howdy Ya'll,
I was 'wetherwacky', but I have changed my screen name to my pseudonym "J.R.Rudling". I kept my first two initials and spiced up my last name to make it sound like a writer's name.
I wanted to start a discussion on which season each actor reached his best acting ability.
I think Jim Bob did his best acting in season seven. That's all I've really seen up to. How about the other characters?
Sincerely, J.R.Rudling

I like your "writing name", J.R. I have used many myself over the years, including "Kristin Jaymes" and more recently "Willa James Kelly". It's kind of fun to use one- especially when you're a little apprehensive about what you've written! lol!
AS FOR YOUR QUESTION: As I've been watching the Hallmark episodes over the last year, I've noticed that "Erin Walton" has her best episode when G.W. dies. The actress seemed to hit a turning point with that episode, and I think her work was better overall after that point. Maybe it gave her some confidence. We should ask her at the reunion... I believe she's one of the few coming.
Also, nice to see a Tolkien fan (did I spell that right?) on the Waltons board! We just prove to be more and more diverse every day!

Here is what I have so far, IMO.
John Boy does his best acting season five in "The Fire Storm". Jim Bob does his most skillful acting season seven, during "The Calling" and "The Parting". Erin does the best after season six. Specifically, in "The First Casualty".
