Dear Carolyn, what a great idea ! You really should write a book about the last 19 years of Walton reunions and I will be the first one who will buy your book !!! Manfred and I are looking so much forward to October to visit our beloved Virginia and to meet many nice people... :-) .

I am so looking forward to coming too as well for my first time, and I sent the check and the form in already. My Aunt and I are going along with my Mom.

WOW! Carolyn, that is a great idea! I don't know anything about getting published, but i bet if you wrote that book alot of people would buy it. There are alot of walton fans that are not on forums, or in groups. I came across this on by accident, and i feel so blessed! to talk to people who feel the way i do. I was in walmart a week ago, and on my cell phone the main ringtone is the theme from the waltons. i got a call, and people all around me were saying "i love that show!" lol

TO TIMETRAVELER: how can i get in touch with amtrak? I am the proverbial country bumpkin, and NOT proud of it. I have checked packages with flight and hotel. the flight is alot of money, and i hate to fly. it makes me sick and terrified. do you know how close the train would be going to the kirkley hotel?

Hi Amy Lee. Amtrak have a website. Just go to Google and do a search. We travelled by Amtrak during our first trip to the US and it's very easy and comfortable. I highly recommend the train travel! No idea how close the train goes to the Kirkley though.

Hi Carolyn I have sent my money etc for the reunion dinner. I paid for 3, because at the time my 77 year old mother was not sure she could attend., She feels now that she is well enough, and would love to be able to come to the dinner. Is there any tickets left? I can forward you the U.S. money order to pay for it as soon as I know.
