Thinking about The Waltons Lunch Box , I do remember that they did also have a Waltons board game that came out in 1974. Does anyone own the board game, and if so do any of you still play the game? Apparently it's a board/card game. In essence, there is a playing board with 4 playing spaces, each divided into 4 quarters for the placement of individual cards. The cards are actual images of scenes from The Waltons also divided into quarters. The idea is to draw cards from the deck and try to play one of them to the board in order to complete one of the 4 'scenes'. The first player to play all of their cards wins that 'hand' for a point. The first player to 25 points wins the game.

Here is a picture of my sister with her Christmas presents in 1974. As you can see, she received The Waltons board game as a present. I was four years old and don't remember ever playing the game. I suspect the game may still be in my parents basement.

I have a lot of Waltons memorabilia that I’ve collected over the years. It is all stored in a big plastic container. I keep intending to display it somehow, but I’m the world’s biggest procrastinator, so I never get around to actually doing it, and it’s all still packed away in a box. I did get it out this morning and took pictures of some of the items I have. This is the Waltons board game. My husband bought it for me several years ago when he saw it in an antique store. it still has the price tag on it…6 dollars! I took it to a Waltons reunion one year, and several cast members signed it for me. If you can’t see the signatures, they are Mary McDonough, Jon Walmsley, Kami Cotler, Lisa Harrison, and Bo Hamner. Bo is not a cast member. He’s a relative of Earl Hamner, a nephew I believe.

I won the paper dolls in a silent auction at a Waltons reunion one year. They were not in a box. They were in this folder. I don’t have any autographs on the paper dolls. They were used, but in good condition. The tabs on the clothing are color coded so the user will know which article of clothing goes on each character. My sister and I used to play with paper dolls all the time when we were growing up. I would have loved these, except that I was already grown by the time these paper dolls were around. I actually played paper dolls for a few minutes this morning. I guess I never outgrew it. Here is a photo of each character wearing an article of clothing. My cat was so excited when I got these out, she kept jumping on them, then trying to lie down on them. I finally had to put her in another room and close the door.

I have most of Earl Hamner’s books including this first edition copy of Spencers Mountain that my daughter bought on eBay and gave to me for Christmas one year. I took it to a Waltons reunion once, and several Hamner family members signed it. When Earl saw it, he looked at it for the longest time, then said, “This is a first edition! Where did you get it?”

One of the most recent things I’ve acquired is this model of the Walton house. I don’t keep it packed away. I have it displayed on a table. The man who makes them has also made models of other buildings on The Waltons (church, store, etc), and I think he is now also creating buildings from Little House on the Prairie. If you’re interested, here is a link to his Facebook page: Casa Bella Creations

I have a lot of Walton memorabilia. Used to play the game with my kids. You are supposed to collect card pieces in order to complete a picture from the show.
I also have the Mego dolls, Mego truck, house, small matchbox truck, books, coloring book, a few scripts, and Godsey’s store. I used to set them up for display but now they are in storage. I collect dolls so I will have to keep an eye out for the Mego dolls.

Brenda you have quite the collection and the model of the Waltons House is wonderful. I remember when I was at The Waltons Museum directly across the street from the Bed & Breakfast they had a model of Godsey's Store and The Waltons Home.
