Wasn't it The Ceremony? The Manns were a Jewish family trying to escape anti-Semitism and Ben accidentally broke their window as well with his slingshot. That episode featured Radames Pera playing a Jewish boy about to have his Bar Mitzvah. It was also funny (and a running joke) that Ben didn't know what a Jew was. (Eric Scott, of course, was Jewish.)

I remember the scene too, but I can’t remember which episode. I just watched “The Ceremony” yesterday, and Jim Bob and Ben did break the window at the Mann cottage with a slingshot, but it’s not the same episode where Ben shot the flowerpot on the Walton porch. Hallmark has started over again with Season 1, so I’ll be watching for it.

I love that scene and it's been bothering me that I couldn't remember what episdoe it was from. So I took some time to try and find it and was successful. It was from...The Beguiled - Season 3, Ep. 17. This is the episode with Willie Aames and the female college student who has the car accident with John Boy and then she later steals his class notes. Edit: In looking at the above picture, I also noticed a continuity error. When Ben first notices the flower pot and takes aim, there are two similar pots hanging. But after he breaks the one on the right, the left one is nowhere to be seen...

Referring to this episode, I am watching this one at the moment again and it is actually Jim Bob who breaks the window of the Mann's Cottage. That is a funny bit that Ben(Eric Scott) who is Jewish was the one asked to do the dialogue to question what a Jew was.

I would have walked up them very scared lol The difference between Ben breaking the potted plant and Jim Bob breaking the Mann's window in the Cottage in the other episode was that Jim Bob broke the window by accident. Jim Bob was trying to hit that rock at first, but Ben was outside and the potted plant was in plain sight and he saw his father and mother doing the gardening and he shot the slingshot right at the potted plant. Or at least that is the way it looked to me. It seemed like no accident to me.

Ben seemed to break a few things along the way in the series. I remember also in the episode when the Carnival came to town Ben tried to juggle his mama's plates and he broke them. I believe he got punished for that.

I’m watching “The Beguiled” on Hallmark right now. Just before the incident with Ben and the slingshot, there’s another funny incident. Grandma is hanging laundry on the clothesline when Elizabeth comes across the yard rolling a tire. It accidentally hits Grandma, who falls on the basket of laundry. Elizabeth says “I’m sorry” to Grandma, then runs and retrieves the tire and rolls it past Grandma again. Grandma tries to give her a little swat on the behind as she runs past, but her hand hits the tire instead.
The next scene is Ben with the slingshot. Olivia ordered him to learn 10 Bible verses, then increased it to 15 when he tried to argue with her.
i really can’t stand that girl, Sis Bradford.
