I forget which episode but was season 8 I think. They had "holiday coffee" stocked at Ikes behind the counter.
Wasn't coffee rationed in WW2 and I thought he grounded his own coffee

Coffee rationing in the US began at the end of November in 1942. Pre-ground coffee was available, but Ike ground his own beans with the coffee mill. (He could personalise the grind.)
Since the ration was limited to 1 cup per household per day, I'm guessing the Waltons didn't follow the rules.

I'm not all that crazy about coffee, but I do love the aroma of coffee in the morning ☕️

^ And a tipple before bedtime?
The closest I've come to alcohol since 1994 is a fermented black grape I bit into last week.

I wonder if Snoopy likes A&W frozen rootbeer?
I wonder if they deliver?
Oops. Forgot the video...

I don’t start my day without coffee, then I continue throughout.
Regarding alcohol, I had gone 467 days without a drink until last weekend, and I slipped up. Used to have a bit of a problem with the alcohol (I guess I still do). Day 5 of sobriety now.

^ Don't give up. One day at a time. You did it once. You can do it again.

Starting over with the count as of that morning. I used to drink and I used to smoke. I quit both using the same method. I had tried to quit many times but never managed it successfully until I changed my mindset. I wanted to quit, but I didn't. I liked how both drinking (beer) and smoking made me feel. I finally succeeded when I stopped thinking that I wanted to quit and started thinking that I didn't want to drink or smoke anymore. Not wanting to drink or smoke anymore was much easier than trying to quit when I didn't really want to.
I haven't done either in almost 20 years.

Definitely inspiring. I stopped dipping tobacco a couple years ago. I started when I was 16 and stopped at 33.

I think it would have been the same ground coffee but put into a 'holiday' tin, similar to modern-day chocolates, cookies, and candies. Tins were very handy back then for holding various household items, quite like decorated flour sacks which could be made into clothing.
