< Wizard of Oz - Lion - I do believe in spooks> I still meet people who have a strong feeling about ghosts. In an old farmhouse where I was staying, there was a guest who asked me if I felt the presence of a ghost. She felt the presence of a benevolent ghost, a man who wandered the halls late at night. I told her, no I didn't, but that I am also not ghost-sensitive. I know I feel the presence of ghosts and scary things more when I am alone in the house more than when my mom is in the house.

I had to Google Bermuda Triangle, too. I've heard of Bermuda shorts, Bermuda vacation, and Bermuda tree, but not Bermuda Triangle. During my brief Bermuda research I found this song, < beach boys song - Kokomo > However as a person who understands science, I haven't seen enough evidence to convince me either of these notions have any merit. People will believe what they want to believe. However, like you, I understand and trust science to convince me as well. The most prominent explanation is 'aliens'. However, even limiting the range of space travel to the Milky Way galaxy, aliens would not only have to conquer space travel, but time travel as well, and I cannot and will not believe that aliens would travel all the way to Earth to play parlour tricks in a tiny triangle just east of the Florida coast.

Do you think that if Easton and emmy put their heads together, they might take on the mystery of “ The Bermuda Triangle ”? I can't speak for Emmy, but I've already taken that one on (as well as that Daniken fiasco from several decades ago) and there is no mystery behind the Bermuda Triangle. What happens there also happens everywhere that there is open water. Book burnings, racism, bigotry, hatred, and war, however, are and have always been very, very real.
I recently rewatched "THE FIRESTORM." It is one of my top three WALTONS episodes. Your mom was brilliant in this episode, but also in her other episodes, including the one in which Erin graduated from high school (watched it last night) and when Jim-Bob discovered that his twin brother died after childbirth. She was always believable. And you know that I loved her appearance on THE ROCKFORD FILES, a show celebrating the 50th anniversary of its pilot episode TODAY. That's another show, like THE WALTONS, that has brought me many hours of pleasure. I bid on a copy of "THE FIRESTORM" at a WALTONS reunion in the 1990s, but the price went up beyond $150, which was out of my price range. Hope your quest to secure a copy is successful. Sending many greetings from Ecuador.

I must comment on Easton’s kind words about my mother’s blue eyes. Thank you for pointing it out. It is nice to know someone else noticed her beautiful blue eyes! I have seen my Mom in tons of television shows and, I too, NEVER before noticed how truly pretty her blue eyes (and Richard’s) were. Now I know why it takes so darn long to “light” a scene.
Not sure if it is common knowledge, out of “show biz” circles, but directors can take up to an hour or more to determine which light from the soundstage would be best to film the scene, usually 3 different ways. That is why there is a need for “stand-ins.” These are people, usually the same height and girth, of the real actors. They stand in place where the actor will be during a scene, while the lighting director, cinematographer and director figure out the lighting logistics. That way the actor can rest until their next scene. Some stars, like Robert Redford, bring their own stand-in they have had for decades. Also, if you are on a series long enough, the camera people know how tall the actors are and they can determine the lighting from years of experience.
My Mom’s stand-in on her series, “Governor and J.J” was thrilled beyond belief when she was chosen to be the stand-in for Elizabeth Taylor when Miss Liz guest-starred on “The Lucy Show”. Boy, did she give me an earful of the dynamic between Lucille Ball, Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton. But that kind of language cannot be shared here!
Stand-Ins can make good money and their job is unique. Plus, wouldn’t we all want our boss to say, “All I want you to do is stand around all day!?!

flossieskid Tracey, if you want a copy of the script, your best bet is asking the cast. They sometimes auction off copies of the scripts they have. I'm sure they'd be more than willing to help you due to your sentimental reason for wanting it and your special connection to the show.
