When I found out about the 50th year celebration of The Waltons at The Hollywood Museum this past Thursday, I thought I could not go since I had others plans. But, I felt I MUST attend, so I was able to change my appointment and I went to the Museum and experienced the celebration from start to finish!
It was wonderful! Well attended by cast AND devoted fans. There is SO much to share, I think I should do it in 2 or 3 stages: First, I will try to post some of the photos I took, then discuss what each cast member said about their experience and, lastly, discuss their answers to Leonard Maltin’s probing questions.
Bear with me - it may take a few days to get everything done in a time manner! Fingers crossed and with a silent prayer that I will be successful in each attempt!

As stated in my introduction thread my wedding anniversary somewhat corresponds with the Waltons series first airing in 1972. The Waltons first aired on CBS on September 14, 1972 and I was married to my wonderful husband Michael on June 24, 1972. So both the show and my husband and I reached a huge milestone in 2022. 50 years is very impressive.
The show continues to reach people through streaming services and syndication. This shows the quality of the product that we all have come to love for so many years.

I am currently planning a few day vacation down to Schuyler, Virginia with my wife in September. It just might correspond to when the show was first aired in 1972. So that would be 51 years after the original airing. I am pretty sure there will be nothing major going on other than the usual things to see, but it will still be very exciting.

Miss Tracey it is so cool that you got to attend the 50th anniversary reunion celebration. I imagine for you these events bring back many different memories then just the average fan. I also would figure that being around celebrities is much different for you than many others since you grew up around all of that your whole life. It is still awesome that you got to relive those memories with this celebration.
I have mentioned before that I want to work in the entertainment business when I grow up. I want to attend NYU and get a degree in Performance Dance and eventually perform on stage and hopefully on Broadway. I also see celebrities differently and pretty much as just regular people who have jobs that entertain other people. I do admire some of them like Emma Watson because of the work she has done and the person she is off screen and a musician like Taylor Swift who I think is really talented in what she does, but they are regular people with talents. God has given me a talent to dance and whether that talent will get me to the stage on Broadway in New York or an instructor at a Dance Studio, I will still be that same regular person that is using that God given talent no matter what way I use it. That is the way I look at people who entertain.

I also wanted to be an actor as a boy and young man and think I have a reasonable amount of talent acting and singing. But, during high school, at a missions conference at our church, I dedicated myself to serve the Lord as a foreign missionary. Since 2001, my family and I have served in Ecuador (as well as four years in Guam). I’ve never looked back and have not regretted my decision. Of course, there have been challenges, but God gives the increase.

Of course, there have been challenges, but God gives the increase. God has definitely given me this gift of dance since I was a little girl. Many would say I am still a little girl and well I guess I still am and have a ways to go before I really get into my life. I know I want to use this gift in whatever way God has me to use it. If that is teaching others than that is what it will be. If that is performing on stage then that is what it will be. It also can be both. I can perform dance at church if I want and still teach others. Who knows, I am only 13 years old.
