tommyc , I think it's wonderful! Thanks so much for your time and effort. Not sure how you did it, but it is perfect for this photo. You're welcome Livie's Friend, I am glad you like it Thanks Whisper, Brenda and other members for the compliments on the keeper. I enjoyed making it and it was a diversion to help break me out of my funk. I've been depressed and unmotivated the past few weeks. Three weeks ago, I had to put my sweet bunny rabbit, Pookie, to sleep and it devastated me. She was an amazing companion ever since I rescued her over 7 years ago. She brought pure joy and happiness into my life. For the past 7 years she has been the only constant in my life and she gave me endless laughs and love. Not seeing and hearing her run around the house has been hard. I've been through the loss of other beloved dogs, cats and a rabbit before. Those were hard and I still miss them. But the loss of Pookie has hit me especially hard. She really was the most sweet and amazing animal I have had the honor and pleasure of being a caretaker for. Yesterday, I finally removed some of her favorite boxes to lay in and chew on. I have yet been able to get rid of her toys and food plates scattered around the house. Doing that is going to be rough. Thankfully, I had a nice last few days with her. I knew what had to be done and I made the most of those last few days. The people at the veterinarian were great and they were caring and patient with me as I cried like a baby. I was able to hold and snuggle Pookie as she gently went to sleep. I am also thankful for Maggie, my cat, who found her way to my yard two years ago looking for help. She too is a sweet lil thing and also brings happiness to my life. Poor Maggie continues to look down the hallway for Pookie at feeding time and I know she misses her friend too. Lastly, I'm thankful for this board and all the wonderful people on here. It's great to talk Waltons but it is also a place where I feel comfortable talking about things like this. Attachments:

Good morning, tommyc.
It says a lot about a person by how they treat their animals. Your bunny and kitty are not only beautiful, they look so well cared for and loved. No wonder you are grieving.
I think it was a giant step for you to remove some of Pookie's belongings and that is good. Thankfully, you still have your Maggie to love.
I'm glad that working on my keeper helped even for a little while. It is so true that when we are hurting, the thing that helps us the most is helping someone else. You are that proof.
Peace & Grace. Teri

I just finished reading the forum rules and it mentioned these Keepers. I have also seen in the signatures of many of the members on here a banner like image that I suppose is the Keeper image. I am wondering is this still a thing that is done on the forum?
