I kind of like Martha Corinne especially the way she was written and got under grandma's skin which was very hard to do. Although according to Richard Thomas when Will Geer was on the set he always stayed professional but inside was enraged because Beulah Bondi had testified at the HUAC hearings and he had been blacklisted actor not able to work. Either The Pony Cart was a really good episode and Martha Corinne's ways might have annoyed the family but she came from a different generation and meant well.

Will and Beulah were political opposites and couldn't tolerate each other socially, but both were professional enough to put that behind them when they stepped in front of the camera.
After a career spanning almost a half-century, Beulah died early in 1981 at the age of 91. 'The Pony Cart' (1976) was her final performance.
