A few days ago I caught the ending of The Beverly Hillbillies and it looked like Ellen Corby dancing with Jed Clampett. Has anyone else seen this episode?

She was in a lot of tv shows. One day if you have a lot of time to kill, you can always look up the cast list of "the waltons" on the internet movie database and just see what all everyone's been in. I was really surprised to see her in the movie Sabrina, with Audrey Hepburn, because she had darker hair, and I realized how tiny she was compared to everyone else. I guess I had just got so used to her being Grandma Walton.

Ellen also played on "It's a wonderful Life" You may not notice her right away, but she's the lady standing in line when the banks all shut down and Jimmy Stewarts character is handing out money. ;D RYAN J.

"It's A Wonderful Life" is such a great movie, you can't have Christmas without The Baileys. Ellen Corby also appeared briefly in the Jimmy Stewart movie (directed by Alfred Hitchcock) "Vertigo" in 1958. And who could forget her performance as Myrt "Hubcaps" Lesch, the crooked old lady who sells Barney his first car in "The Andy Griffith Show" episode 'Barney's First Car"??

Ellen Corby was on at least four episodes of Lassie, too, and she is "Aunt Trina" in the movie I Remember Mama--in which the gentleman she marries is played by Edgar Bergen, just like in The Homecoming!

She played Lurch's mother on The Addams Family. She was perfect as the tiny, straight-laced foil to his, wll, his Lurchness.

I remember Ellen Corby as Lucy's former drama teacher,Miss Hannah,in an episode of "I Love Lucy" that also had Orson Welles as a guest star.

Helen Kleeb was in "Hush,Hush,Sweet Charlotte" with Ellen Corby. That movie had some great top notch performers including Agnes Moorehead, along with Olivia de Havilland, and its star Bette Davis.
Ellen Corby also appeared on "Gomer Pyle,USMC" and played a character similar to the con artist she played on "The Andy Griffith Show". I think she also had a small part on "The Lucy Show", which was the show Lucille Ball did after "I Love Lucy".
