Hello again everyone! I attached a little video I was requested to do from a Walton's Instagram account a year ago @thewaltonstvshow. I haven't changed much! ha ha! I did send it and my linktree info to Judy Norton via a Facebook message on her page. I get a feeling that she won't see it. If anyone knows how to get hold of Judy, let me know! I'm working up my confidence! The Waltons, Debbie Gunn

Hello again Deb. I am going to write to Judy by snail mail as I don't know how else to contact her. Let's see if that works. I'm positive she would love to interview you, especially because you were Jim Bob's girl There may be other people who haven't read this yet who know her personally and could reach out to her. Either way, we will do our best to help get you on her YouTube channel! I would love to hear your behind the scene's story. This is an observation I've made since becoming a fan of The Waltons. It seems that all of the actors on the show were such down to earth people, and to this day have wonderful memories of being on the show. My opinion is that it all started with Earl Hamner, Jr.'s vision for what he wanted for his story to be presented to the world. It certainly has worked out, hasn't it? I, too, need to have a creative outlet like you. I paint with watercolors and oils and love to do interior design. I enjoy going to galleries to get inspired. I also love gardening. It's been a tough spring in the northeast, though. We lost all our apple blossoms to frost one night and we are now experiencing a very dry spring. Our blueberry bushes are struggling. It's been a real challenge. Gardening is not for cowards for sure! I have great respect for our farmers. So happy to have connected with you. Have a blessed day!

You can contact her by posting a comment on one of her videos. She reads all the comments and often responds to them. Her most recent video was posted today. It’s part 2 of her interview with Martha Nix who played Serena on Season 8 of The Waltons.

I just left a comment and she replied to it. Just bring up one of her videos and leave a message below it.

@debgunhewitt Hi Deb! I loved your video. The Waltons is truly a place of refuge during these challenging times. I was fortunate to participate in a book that was prepared for Earl for one of his last birthdays. (It was a photo book and included a lot of personal notes from fans.) What I said in that book remains true today: This show is a balm for my soul. I'm grateful to have it and still be able to watch it today.
Your renovation sounds amazing. Would love to see what you've done. I would be happy to share kitchen photos once we finish painting. But I have trouble sharing them here (I don't think there's enough memory...?) If you want to message me your email address, though, I can send you a few. 😊

Hello Livie's Friend, Brenda, Carol and patriciaanne! Okay, so I just watched another one of Judy's interviews with Martha and then I left her a comment (very sad, her personal story/struggle - solid interview - and mostly how God is writing her story now) - Thank you for the help. I'd love to hear from any of you and see pictures of your kitchen remodel Patricia! I have to admit that my gmail gets 100% overwhelmed with so much junk that I sometimes miss things - but let me know here too that you sent an email and what your email is! I also know that it's hard to attach images as gmail doesn't take anything over 25mb. It seems easier to friend me on my personal Facebook page (and tell me here that you did and your name on FB - if you have one!). I do check in here and there. Also my Instagram if you have one - that seems easy to send pictures on the p.m. Just let me know here that you friended me and what your handle is! There are so many creepy people in social media that I'm sure you're aware too! My email is: debtraceyphoto@gmail.com, and once again, FB: Deborah Gunn Hewitt, Instagram d.t.hewitt and my Linktree is: linktr.ee/deborah_tracey_hewittThank you again and hope you're all doing well. We survived our first "together" full weekend babysitting grandchildren and I wrote about it! lol. Of course I babysit all the time and I survived an overnighter alone - but this past weekend was so much more!! Blessed! love, deb

Hi Deb, I found your Instagram and started following you. I also found your Facebook profile, but there is no option to add you as a friend. My name on Facebook is Brenda Evans Irby, and the link to my profile is www.facebook.com/grade1teacher.

Hi Brenda!
I just followed you back on Instagram. I have no idea why there's no friend request on my FB. I checked my settings and it should be there? strange. Sometimes it's the browser we use. I will friend request you!
Also, I left a comment about Martha, on the Pt 2 (as I had mentioned here) and followed up with a P.S. about the loss of her son, etc. (because I forgot and that really touched me), but I saw that the P.S. comment posted right away and the other one (which I kinda copied and pasted from the original Facebook p.m. to Judy) never did show up and I checked the "rules" and I think it's because there was a link to my Linktree and a link to the video I did for the Instagram Waltons site last year. So I did another comment apologizing for putting links, not thinking, etc. Shorter and sweet but that also did not post. I've checked back today and nothing. Not many comments coming through now on that interview with Martha, so you go to the most recent and you will see my P.S. comment, from Deborah Tracey and of course it does not contain any info on who I am! lol. It's just so typical of my world! lol.
Oh well! Hope you have a great day!! deb ox

Hi Deb, I just now accepted your friend request on Facebook. Thank you! I am not a big user of Instagram. I don’t think I’ve posted any photos at all. I mostly just view other people’s Instagram photos. I posted a comment to one of Judy’s videos once that had a link to this forum, and it didn’t show up either. Then someone told me that YouTube doesn’t allow outside links in comments.

Hi Brenda, yeah, I read that in terms and conditions so I re-posted a comment without the links and who I was on The Waltons, and it didn't show up. Perhaps I'll try again as it all seems a bit robotic! I doubt Judy has much to do with it! Although I only check FB every few days or less, it's nice to be friends there! Thank you! deb

Hello Again!
Okay, so I realized I could edit a comment on Judy's YouTube Channel and I did that under Pt. 2 of Martha Nix's interview. It posted from what I can see and hopefully she will see it. I was incredibly touched by Martha's interview and feel that this is the purpose of life. For God write our story. To help others. I too am ready to share about how pain and grief can truly be turned into something positive and inspiring. Shows like The Waltons have helped so many people feel comforted in hard times and have spoken joy into our hearts too.
Take care everyone and have a blessed day! deb

Hi Easton! I think you are VERY wise! Stick with the forum! Everything else seems to be getting rid of us older folks anyways! It's maddening! I was in the grocery store last week trying to figure out a ridiculous app to get butter at a deal and told the manager that this is just not right. I said how is my mom, who's 87, supposed to play all these silly games just to get a deal on her groceries. She responded that she agreed and said they are eliminating the paper flyer that comes in the mail!! That's what my mom and everyone her age depend on! She said you can just come in the store and scan the barcode on their store copy of the paper flyer? what? Scan it on your phone? Which she would never do! Going round and round in circles! It just gets sillier. Glad you got a laugh out of us!! As a photographer I had to keep up with tech and I still force myself to, but I know I will fall off the ledge soon! Enjoy your peaceful life!! I'm trying to figure out a way to share some garden pictures but the forum doesn't allow anything that would be large enough to appreciate it. So this is a very downsized picture of our garden gutter wall that we built. My husband also purchased pre-fabricated fireplace and bbq pieces and learned how to tile by doing it himself. He's an electrician by trade and extremely talented. He purchased remnant tile and a cheap tile cutter and did all of that! Hope you can see it. Deb
