Easton, it’s funny you said “Ironside” replaced The Waltons and then was removed due to viewers’ displeasure. My Dad was on 3 or 4 episodes of “Ironside” and went as far back as one episode of “Perry Mason”. He said Raymond Burr was a great guy and always welcomed my Dad back with much enthusiasm. . We're rather proud of Raymond up here. He was very secret about his private life and we respected him for it. (I expect things would be different now. The world is a lot different now than it was then.)
Here is a wonderful photo of Raymond with the delightful Barbara Hale and Raymond's partner of 33 years from 1960 until his death in 1993, Robert Benevides. (Robert is still alive, living in California and running a winery. He is 91 years old.)

They knew each other for decades. But, residuals weren’t secured by SAG until the ‘60’s and I think my Dad’s appearance in Perry Mason was in the late ‘50’s. But I am just as thrilled as everyone the Waltons were requested to reappear - so many more shows to see my Mom. Carol - your memory about childhood friends on TV shows is very impressive! I thought my TV knowledge is excellent, but you surpass me by a mile! Speaking of shows your mom was on. I caught her on an episode of Mannix last night. The episode was Edge Of The Web. It originally aired in Feb. 1975.

^ Yes, I knew that. Did you know Barbara and William acted together in a series of Perry Mason TV movies in the 80s? Barbara reprised her role of Della Street and William portrayed Paul Drake Jr., taking over for William Hopper who had passed away in 1970.

Carol - thanks for the info on my Mom’s appearance on “Mannix”. I never even knew she did that show. I was aware my Dad had done one, but haven’t seen either of them. Will have to keep my eyes peeled for those. Once again, my TIVO has failed me! Any show where my parents’ name appears in the credits, it should tape, but doesn’t always do it! Can you remember what station it was on in your neck if the words?

The IMDb link below tells about the episode. www.imdb.com/title/tt0641587/?ref_=ttep_ep16
