'The Star' was on The Waltons this evening in which 'the star' (a meteorite) crashed through the roof of the recipe room and Cousin Polonius (Iggie Wolfington) tried to cash in on it.
Then, in Season 9's 'The Hostage', Cousin Octavia (Mary Wickes) showed up on the Baldwin sisters' doorstep.
Now, Polonius is a Greek name. Octavia is Roman.
Curious coincidence?
Can you think of any other Baldwin family member names?

Season 1 Episode 13 - The Reunion - Homer Lee Baldwin (Denver Pyle)
Homer - Greek.
All three were nefarious Baldwin relatives. Interesting!

Emily Baldwin: The name Emily is a female name derived from the Roman family name Aemilius.
Mamie Baldwin: The name Mamie is primarily a female name of American origin that means Mother. It can also be used as a nickname for the names Mary, Marie, Maria, or Margaret.

Tommy - I'd forgot about Homer Lee. Excellent and interesting. In The Carnival, completely unrelated to the Baldwin sisters, was Homer Ferguson, the stationmaster. (A character similar to Homer Bedloe from Petticoat Junction.) I sense a trend away from the 'heroic'.
Brenda - Interesting that Mamie's name means 'mother'. She certainly was the motherly protector of Emily.

When I saw the title of this thread I thought you were talking about their cousin Hilary played by Jean Marsh.
Were they not also related to the girl who wanted to become a nun and Rev. Fordwick?

^ 'The Sinner' is on right now. I backed up the PVR to hear the explanation in Ike's store. Fordwick was asking John-Boy or Grandpa to drive him to the Baldwin's house. He had a letter from his mother to give to them. She was cousin to Mamie and Emily on Fordwick's uncle's side, but that was the extent of the family tree explanation.

I sure hope cousin Polonius doesn't have a habit of hiding behind curtains 🎭

I just went and watched The Calling. That's the one about the girl who wanted to become a nun.
Her name was Mary Francis Conover and she was a cousin of the Baldwins. The only detail we learn is when Mary is talking with Corabeth. She says, "my mother was a Baldwin".
Geez, the Baldwins sure had a lot of cousins!!
