Note to Flossieskid: I was watching a beautifully restored blu-ray of Hitchcock’s North By Northwest, and I recognized your mom as the housekeeper close to the start of the film. I noticed that she wasn’t credited, but it was unmistakably her.

She's listed on the IMDb page. Her character's name was Anna.

Yes, Kyle my Mom was in North by Northwest playing Anna and I am surprised why she is not in the credits. I thought she had a rather pivotal role at the end. But, in those days, they only listed main stars, a few supporting actors, the department heads of production, make-up, hair, the main Executive Producer, Writer and Director. Now they list EVERYONE including actor’s assistants, each actor’s make-up and hair artists and even the drivers who transport all the cast and most movies have like 6-10 Producers plus, even the people that feed them all! The length of the credits can rival the length of the actual movie!!
Thanks Easton for your info - you posted on my Mom’s birthday, Sept. 5th - which is also Bob Newhart’s birthday too!!

^ Of course they list all of the 'important' people. The actors who were actually in the movie are incidental.
Your list of credits reminds me of the ending credits of, I believe, 'Top Secret' or perhaps 'Airplane'. The end credits were as funny as the movie itself:
Clapper Loader - John Doe Loader Clapper - John Doe Clapper Clapper - John Doe
