I am binge watching the show, ER er.fandom.com/wiki/Cast_and_Characters . It has 15 seasons. I am on season 5. Its pretty good, but its the same thing over and over again. The Walton's were written in such a way that it is not the same thing again and again. Do you binge watch programs? Do you complete the whole program or give up after a few seasons?

I discovered Blue Bloods after it was out a couple of years and I binge watched that to get caught up. I also binge watch Netflix shows when a new season comes out. I wish I could show more restraint because then you have to wait a long time for the next season, but alas...I'm weak. 😁

The parents frown on binge watching tv programmes. Mum keeps telling me I'm maybe petite right now but if keep on waiting tv, reading and being stationary while gorging on junk food, I won't like the results. I can see her glare as I scarf down bbq crisps and down some mountain dew or Coke. And I do love my Reeses Peanut Butter Cups. But yes, I'm afraid if I had control of the television i would binge watch from time to time

Your body and blood chemistry will thank you one day. I have the perfect solution...binge watch while you're riding an exercise bike. 😁

And stay away from diet sodas as patriciaanne says, expecially if the sweetner is Aspartame. About 10 years ago, I used to drink Crystal Light, a sugar-free, fruit-flavoured powder you mix with water. I thought it would be better for me than sugar and might even help me lose weight. It didn't. In fact, I gained weight. I was always hungry and ate a fortnight's worth of food in only 1 week. I was getting headaches regularly when I rarely did before. I can't remember all the symptoms but I remember feeling 'not right'. I heard about Aspartame's side effects and looked them up. There was a list of over 100 side effects and every one of my symptoms were on the list.
I threw away every single packet of Crystal Light and I read labels now. If Aspartame is listed in the ingredients, I put it back on the shelf.
I don't know how that stuff is still legal and still allowed in our food and drinks.
By the way, it took about two weeks after stopping that the symptoms began to go away.

( I've sneaked extra ones when I'm away from mum and dad and I know my sisters won't tattle. Some teens sneak booze behind their parents back. I sneak sodas. Kinda like here, I joined this forum without their permission or approval)My parents keep reminding me as long as they are responsible for my medical bills, they have input on my diet, nutrition. Etc

Don’t go overboard with binge watching, however! On August 27, 2005, a friend of my sister’s, a nurse , decided to spend his couple of days off binging on a “marathon” of a program on one of the cable networks. He never changed the channel so was unaware of what was happening around him. On August 28 as the afternoon dragged on he continued to binge watch. Fortunately a deputy patrolling the neighborhood saw a car in the driveway and could see that the TV was on. He knocked on the door. The nurse opened the door - the deputy said “why are you still here? You need to leave NOW!” “Why?” He was told to change to the Weather Channel and saw the image of Hurricane Katrina headed for him. He shouted, (can’t post what he said), grabbed some clothes and his cat and got out. The Hurricane struck the next morning. He lived in the community of Arabi, Louisiana. A lot of people have heard of New Orleans’ Lower Ninth Ward. Arabi is the first community you bump into going East from there. So all the buildings there were flooded out. My sister’s friend never returned to the area
I’m now sort of binging on the original All Creatures Great and Small.
P.S. Mountain Dew makes my heart race. Am doing my best to wean myself off diet soft drinks. So hard!

P.S. Mountain Dew makes my heart race. Am doing my best to wean myself off diet soft drinks. So hard! Aspartame does that, too. It's scary when your heart thumps and races for no reason whatsoever.
Read labels. Aspartame can be put in almost anything, not just sugar-free or diet drinks.

I never drank diet soda. Ewwww!!!! I did put some of that crap in my tea instead of sugar but decided that it could NOT be good and gave up ALL artificial sweeteners YEARS ago.

I also found it several seasons in and did catch up but just gradually. Imagine how we felt over here in Australia in the 60s and 70s, and probably even beyond. It seemed we had to wait for months and sometimes a year or so for a new season to appear of our favourite program. Sometimes they would continue to show repeats and then suddenly a brand new episode would appear. Children would have got taller, names sometimes suddenly changed (eg Judy Norton Taylor) and sometimes opening credits would be different. It was always quite funny to see.

When I still had access to Netflix, I would binge watch past episodes of Call the Midwife and The Crown.

When I still had access to Netflix, I would binge watch past episodes of Call the Midwife and The Crown. I love The Crown!!! Also binge-watched that -- and Derry Girls, and Firefly Lane, and Cobra Kai. I can't wait for the next seasons!! I think Derry Girls is the most hysterical show I've ever seen. Half the time I'm laughing and the other half I'm crying from laughing so hard. 😁

I can't eat or drink any kind of artificial sweetener. I get horrible stomach cramps if I do.

^ And it's in just about everything.
I'll point out again that it doesn't help you to lose weight. It actually makes you eat and drink more. I expect that's why manufacturers put it in so many products. Aspartame was first approved by the FDA in 1974. It was surrounded by controversy before its approval, was actually put 'on hold' until 1981, and now, 40 years later, it's still surrounded by controversy.
Instead of being listed in the ingredients, I think there should be warnings on the front of the packaging: "WARNING: CONTAINS ASPARTAME".
