I used to post a lot but I stopped when life caught up with me. My Mom and I always watched The Waltons together. She became ill and died suddenly in Jan. 2021 and I've struggled ever since to find my way. She was my best friend and I shared everything with her. I just feel lost without her. I can't watch the Waltons for now without crying. I've also had glaucoma, retina issues, and as yet undiagnosed digestive/abdominal pains and so much has happened to me without my Mom's support and encouragement that I've just about fallen apart. I hope to post here again in the future since I've missed doing so. I pray I'll see my Mom again in Heaven. It is what keeps me going.

I'm so sorry to hear about your terrible loss. I can certainly understand needing to take a break. I hope you will be back in the near future. Until then, be kind to yourself. Remember there's no right or wrong way to grieve. It's definitely a process and it takes time. You'll be in my prayers. 💓

Thank you all so much. How do I add the keeper image back? Why not just log in on the old account or did you lose your log in info?

I am so sorry for your loss.
I've been absent too because of family struggles. My mom and best friend was diagnosed with vascular dementia and my world has been slowly crumbling since. Almost three years since everything changed and it still feels like the end of the world.
Prayers for comfort for you.

I haven’t been on the Forum that long, but I am so sorry to hear about what you’ve been going through after your Mom’s passing. I am just so impressed that so many other people on the Forum would reach out with their thoughts. It must make you feel like you are not alone. What kind, amazing people are the Walton fan family!
Grief comes in waves and sometimes all one can do is take it day by day and hold on to your memories. You know your Mom will live in your heart forever! Sometimes, when life seems overwhelming, try and write a letter to your Mom and share your feelings. She will always be listening. You can keep a journal of things you would want her to know. Sometimes writing things down can make the sadness go away for a while.
This quote has helped me through my many loses, perhaps it can help you too. I have it printed, in a frame, on my desk and I try to remember how blessed I was to share wonderful memories with a person so special. It says:
“How lucky I am to have known someone and loved somebody that saying goodbye to is so darn awful.”
