I want to know when Erin went to school to become a teacher/principal. In the later reunion movies she was principal of the school.

e knight And college kids in the 60's and early 70's liked to see how many people they could stuff into a phone booth.

I'm curious if any communities in America still use a switchboard operator. I'm guessing no, but does anyone know?

Today's switchboard operators are speciality operators more like the switchboard In the school Erin worked in to get the typewriter for John-Boy. They work in hospitals, clinics, office buildings, or any place that has a huge volume of calls.
However, I believe that, if you dial 'zero', you can talk to an actual person, but you can also do that on the internet, talking to an 'operator' in real time, usually in text form.

^ Precisely.
There was a time a few decades ago that you couldn't make an overseas phone call without an operator. Now, with automated switchboards doing the work of phone operators, they're not necessary anymore except for businesses who hire them to handle the volume of phone calls.
I really don't know what would happen now if I press '0'.

They used to have telephone booths wherein one had a semblance of privacy when using a pay phone. In the 1940s. Clark Kent could slip into one to change into you-know-who. OMGosh where does he change now???

^ Indeed. Who would have guessed that phone booths would lead to the decline and fall of superheroes?
