Now that I have found the television channel that plays 4 episodes of the Waltons every day - I'll probably watch the entire series several times a year. That is unless the Hallmark Drama channel drops the Waltons. I pray it won't !!
I also have the DVDs, but for some reason I enjoy watching it on the Hallmark channel.

I watch The Waltons on MeTV and INSP. I have all the DVDs too, but I don’t have a working DVD player right now. If I watch a DVD, it’s on my computer. So yes, I watch the entire series at least once a year. I’ve started noticing things in episodes that I’d never noticed before.

Sometimes when you watch a show several times a year you notice things you didn't like before and reach unpleasant conclusions. For example after watching "The Waltons" several times I came to the conclusion that Olivia Walton was one of the worst television mothers ever.

Can you explain that briefly?

Can you explain that briefly? In a nut-shell, Livy did not have kids because she wanted to, but rather because it was a result of John getting his manly due.

I've watched the series numerous times, and I never got that impression of Olivia.
John and Olivia, Grandma and Grandpa ... have always been my favorite characters.
Besides having a major crush on John Boy.

I can't remember how many paragraphs it was, but it was pretty gross. Something about rubber sheets and grabbing the headboard...

I think one of them talked about the dad having affairs. Or it was implied.

I vaguely remember that sentence about grabbing the headboard but I remember it as being due to labor pains. She bent the spindle bar things due to the pain. I don't remember which book it is in.

How so? 1) Her fanatical opposition to anyone in her family serving in the military. 2) Her shrill obsession with protecting the families reputation from even the most innocuous things. 3) Her forcing the children to memorize Bible verses as a punishment which would've made them associate reading the Bible with punishment. For starters.
