I was thinking about how excited Olivia was when when she got the washing machine or the kids when they got a new phone. What technology of today do you think the Waltons - young or old - would have loved if it had been available back then? You can post an individual or the whole family or portions thereof.
Remembering John-Boy working on the Baldwins' typewriter, I would imagine he would have been ecstatic if he had a word processor or a computer with a good word processing program, especially if it had a good spell checker.
The girls would have loved a hair blow dryer.

This really isn't a technology - but I think they would have loved Walmart. Who doesn't love Walmart. Poor Ike would have been put out of business though.

Poor Ike would have been put out of business though. in my own private imagination, Ike, with the help of businesses savy Ben, opened a chain of grocery stores called "Godsey's" all across the Blue Ridge and elsewhere in Virginia area. They're still operating today. I highly recommend shopping there.

Jim-Bob would have loved any sort of remote-controlled vehicle. I can also see him building his own glider... and flying it.

Smoke detectors. And the Salk vaccine. I wish I would have thought of the Salk vaccine!

Sadly the last thing I have written was a book report on Dragonsong by Anne McCaffrey. So if anybody wants an autograph copy of my latest work, it's 9th grade ( freshman) book report. By the way, I love McCaffrey's Pern books!

I could see Elizabeth reading her Nancy Drew and Jessica Girl Spy books on Kindle. John Boy would read just about anything he could download onto his Kindle.

A VCR/DVD/Blu-ray player for Jim-Bob so he can watch his movies as many times as he wants.

John Boy definitely would love a computer unless Mary Ellen sold it:)
The girls curling irons, hot rollers and hair dryers. However Erin could have used a computer too at work.
Jason a Walkman Ben online banking. Jim Bob a drone.
Olivia a dryer and slow cooker. Maybe an instant pot. Grandpa a dvd player. John modern sawmill equipment.
Grandma....I'm not sure what she would like. I think she would be the most likely to not care for stuff.
