Have we ever discussed this? Especially those who started acting at such a young age. Do we know how the kids view their parents? Is it like watching old home movies for them?

Kami has mentioned that her daughter and son seem uninterested in her acting days. Not sure about anyone else.

I remember at a Waltons reunion several years ago, someone asked Mary McDonough a similar question. She replied that her daughter and stepdaughters had watched “The Homecoming” and some season 1 episodes, and had laughed and made fun of her for being such a tattletale. They would mockingly say, in a high-pitched voice, “Mama, Mama!” Another time I remember Michael Learned said when her son was young, he heard the opening theme song as an episode was coming on and remarked that the music always made him feel good inside. I’ve met most of the cast and have heard them speak, but I can’t recall any other comments about their children and how they feel about the show or their acting.

I met Michael McGreevey who payed Hobie. I told him that every time I watch that episode I wish that this time he won't fall and break his arm. He told me that when his son was young, he saw the episode and was very upset thinking his father had really broken his arm. His wife had to call him so he could talk to his son and assure him he was ok. I thought that was a sweet story.
I could be wrong, but I thought Michael's sons teased her about not acting like Olivia Walton at home.

I recently watched a Youtube video where Mary mentioned this anecdote again about the young people in her house having hysterics and mocking her during the show. She said it was now banned viewing from their house!
