I mean I'm not a horrible person by any means but watching The Waltons, it makes me wanna clean up my rough edges
I have started watching my language more, I have basically gave up all alcohol (it was becoming a issue), gotten closer to family and started being more friendly to strangers
I don't attend church though. ,,y views are kinda like JOhn. If you go to church that's great I just don't believe you have to go to church to be considered a good Christian. I have my own relationship with God
But in all honestly this is a fantastic show that society needs today and maybe people would be nicer

I feel the same way about my relationship with God. I've always said I don't have to go to God's house, because He comes to mine.

I think you are right jason88cubss. The Waltons are a fine example of how to live your life. I don't believe you have to attend church regularly to be a good person.

That's wonderful that The Walton's make you want to be a better person! Yes, if everyone watched the show I think we would have a much nicer, and more moral society today. As for not attending church, no, maybe you don't have to go to church to be a good Christian, but being surrounded by like-minded people who both encourage me and hold me accountable sure helps me in my Christian walk. I used to feel the same way about not going to church. Then I heard it explained this way--- we can say we have a wonderful, close relationship with our spouse, but if we never go home to see them it's not going to last very long lol! Anyway, yes, The Walton's should inspire us all to be better people. I'm glad it's still on the air!

I need church myself. Its where I am fed spiritually and get recharged for another week. Its where I get my fellowship and my church family.
I teach Sunday school and there is no greater joy than to teach a little one about Jesus.
