Wow welcome. I am planning on attending a reunion whenever it is. I live on 3 and a half hours from Schuyler and it will be my first. It would be so awesome if you make it. I think the 50th is coming up. It will be so special. Thanks for being so nice to respond. This is a great group.

Thank you at Isumpin! for the welcome and how neat is that that you live only a few hours from the reunion site! I feel so sad, in a way, that I didn't know about them all this time, because it was Earl Hamner that told me I was hired! How I would have loved to have thanked him and seen him again. I pray that the virus passes and we can be normal again and gather - and that you all can have a reunion! I think I saw 30th?
Also, Alan! ha ha! you aged me but it's nice to know we aren't old! I'm 59 now - and definitely feeling it in my knees! Actually everywhere! Arthritis is no fun!

Sorry Deb. I think you were 15 when you were in the WALTONS initially ? I obviously got the year that you appeared wrong. My arithmetic wasn't wrong, just the year you became involved. We are not old though !!!!

Debbie, you are around my age I think old age got us all. I am no spring chicken! I grew up watching the Waltons and mooning over Jim bob lol. You lucky girl. Its been almost 50 years since The Homecoming which was the pilot for the Waltons. So I am thinking 2021 or so. I just moved here 5 years ago and missed out on some they had. I am originally from Mississippi. Transplanted to North Carolina. But I do love it here.

Yes, Isumpin! I was a lucky girl! Funny, though I thought Ben (Eric in real life), was much cuter and very together! David, who played Jim Bob was shy to me. I didn't feel like I got to know him. Eric was very out going and we laughed a lot on set! Perhaps the switch in Spring Fever was meant to be! lol I look forward to seeing your area someday and really hope they can have another reunion with all the Covid shutdowns

Hi Johnny, That's a great story! I didn't get to see much of Richard Thomas because he was the older brother with his life - but that's a great story. It's amazing the impact that The Waltons has had on so many people. So hard to find good wholesome t.v. anymore. Thank you for the welcome! Hope to meet you someday! It's exciting to know that people around the world loved the show Where are you in the world?

I would probably scare him to death if I ever got to talk to him. I will really have to work on that lol. Eric seems very outgoing and I bet working with him was a blast. I am hoping the Colvid shutdown is over soon. I am an essential worker. I work in Pharmaceuticals. My company packages the generic version of hydrochloriquine sulfate so we are working very steady. But it is great to be helping to fight this thing. I think you will love this area. The Mountains are beautiful year round. And the ones in Virginia are awesome.

Hi Deb I was 15 when I left the thespian world. Childhood actor. Stage only. After performing in a SHAKESPEAREAN trilogy in France I returned to England with offers of drama school etc. Sat down and thought about it but the thought of sacrificing my academic studies for several years at drama school. Gaining my EQUITY CARD then maybe no offers of work for several years didn't appeal to me. Often used to regret not sticking my neck out and chancing it. In my early twenties I did take care of the scenery and on- stage sound and lighting for an Easter Passion play but had no involvement in the business after that.
Anyway, enough about me. I am curious as to what age you left the profession ? I have tried to look this up on the internet but can't find much information about you at all. Then again I am not geeky and probably going about it the wrong way. Would rather have found information there rather than pester you for it. I hope that you don't mind me asking ?

Very artistic !! . i take photos too, but only a few reach a level of artistic creativity. Among your shots I recognize a couple of musicians I have also seen at outdoor festivals; Chris Thile & Dave Grisman.. I also notice a luthier working on a guitar neck. On a blackboard, I see some surface integrals of a field vector, perhaps a physics lecture? I reply to your question to me in a pm. (personal message).

On a Facebook group I'm on which is Little House on The Prairie, someone had their picture taking with Tim Gunn who is Debbie Gunn brother,it mentions that his sister was on The Waltons, and on one of Debbie Gunn she mentioned that her brother was on Little House On The Prairie.

I think this is so great having Patsy Brimmer (Debbie Gunn Hewitt) post on the forum. Most of her scenes were with Jim Bob from what I remember and I remember them riding around on horses a lot. I was wondering if that was something she already knew how to do before getting the part of Patsy Brimmer or is that something she had to learn?
