But a reunion series would never fly without Richard!

But a reunion series would never fly without Richard! To my mind, you couldn't even call it a reunion if Richard weren't there !!

Haha Carol. ‘Tis true. But they should ask him, not his wife. 😉

It is fun to speculate about this, but the cast has said that another reunion would probably not happen. Earl tried many times before his death and always came up against red lights.

Unfortunately, I think the number of Walton fans out there has dwindled quite a bit. It's a new world.... It appears they haven't discovered our forum !!

I think there would be an interest in such a movie among Waltons fans. It could center around the passing of John Walton with all the children coming home for the funeral. It would be the kind of movie I would be excited to watch, but then likely find it boring and be annoyed by all the inconsistencies. At least that’s how I approached all the other reunion movies - excited for another opportunity to see the Walton family, disappointed that it turned out to be uninteresting, and spending my time posting here about things like “Where’s John Curtis?” “What did Virginia die from? “I thought Mary Ellen couldn’t have more children.” “Didn’t Ben and Cindy have another child-Charlie?” Agree with you 100% on everything you said! I had all the same thoughts and feelings! I wonder why the cast members didn't bring up the subject of the kids that existed to the writers, before the reunion movies were filmed?

They did, but their comments went unheeded.

I agree that it is unlikely since Earl and many of the cast members Grandma and Grandpa, John Sr, The Godsey's, The Baldwins, Ep Bridges and Yancey Tucker are no longer with us. The only regular cast members left are Michael Learned and the kids.

They did, but their comments went unheeded. That's right! They were told, "No one will remember." Ha!

That's because the network and producers do not know us!

I would love for there to be a reunion movie. I would love to be cast as one of John-Boy's granddaughters.

So if nobody would remember the kids, then nobody would remember the show so why did they bother doing any reunion movies. Whoa...

Ned's right -- One can remember the show without necessarily remembering the grandchildren who arrived late in the series....

As I said previously, I don't think that another reunion movie would really be memorable, and without Earl it is extremely unlikely. The same thing is true of "Little House on the Prairie" without Michael Landon!
