Hi all, can anyone please tell me the name of the episode where Verdie was robbed whilst delivering her cakes? Thank you I can't think of the name of the episode but I know the one you are talking about. She was making burnt sugar cakes to earn extra money and was robber one night while walking home. Ben gave her money to make up for the loss.

Yes that's the one. I have quite a lot of episodes recorded, but do not know the title of this one.

Steve has an excellent episode guide, and I refer to it often, but in this case he made a mistake by placing "The Children's Carol" after "The Milestone", when actually "The Children's Carol" first aired on December 8, 1977, and "The Milestone" aired the following week on December 15, 1977. From the Internet Movie Database: www.imdb.com/title/tt0743709/?ref_=tt_ep_prFrom All About The Waltons: www.allaboutthewaltons.com/ep-s6/s06.phpThe-Waltons.com:: www.the-waltons.com/season6.html#The_Children's_Carol There does seem to be some disagreement among the various websites about the dates the episodes aired, but nearly every source lists The Children's Carol as Episode 11.

I'm still not convinced about the order of these episodes. My Waltons DVD says that The Children's Carol was Episode 11 and aired on Dec. 5, and The Milestone ( Episode 12) on Dec. 8. Many websites have the same info. That doesn't even make sense. Dec 5 was on a Monday in 1977, and Dec 8 was on a Thursday, which was the typical night for The Waltons to be on. I just checked John Olvey's book, and it says The Milestone was on Dec 8 and The Children's Carol was on Dec 15. That actually makes more sense because both dates were Thursdays in 1977. In that case, The Children's Carol would be Episode 12. So I guess it depends upon your source. TV Guide website lists it as Episode 13, by the way. I hope this more more than answers whisper's question.

To help to confuse the matter, Wikipedia has this double episode as 13 and 14.

It should more than answer their question. Always better to get participation than no replies at all.
