I recently reinstalled my Windows 7 operating system, and for the first time in many months had to fully log in to this site. My memory for my password was imprecise, so I clicked the "Forgot Password" link.
Up popped a button that promised to connect me to a "live chat" to solve my problem. This was weird, but I figured maybe it was the standard procedure, so I found myself answering questions about how long I'd had this computer.
Then, I was routed to some place where they wanted to charge me five dollars for assistance. I cancelled out of there and tried the process again.
This time I selected "Forgot Password," entered my e-mail address, ignored the "live chat" button and instead clicked on Submit.
I got a link to reset my password rather quickly via e-mail, much as I am accustomed to.
Watch out for that one!

Thanks for the warning. I just logged out and clicked on the "forgot password" link just to see what you're talking about. I didn't get a "chat" link at all. I only got the "recover password" link.
