I had a beautiful class ring, but when I broke up with my then boyfriend, he through it in the woods. To this day it is under 20+ years worth of bracken somewhere in the woods of New Hampshire. Ah life!

I still have my class ring, class of '84. My stone is a Sapphire because blue is my favorite color.
I have my momma's class ring, class of '64. The stone is a ruby as red was one of her school colors.
I have my paternal grandmother's class ring, class of '24. She was supposed to graduate in 1921 but back then you usually had to help harvest crops or couldn't get to school because of bad weather. Her ring doesn't have a stone. It is gold, can't remember if it's 10K or 14K. It cost ten dollars ($10.00). She did not have the money for a class ring. When the class rings came in there was one for her. She found out that a male classmate of hers had ordered and paid for hers. She cried telling me this and how much that ring meant to her. She always wore it. When she passed away in 1992, my momma was going to bury her with it. I told her that wasn't happening. The ring meant too much to her, I loved her dearly and I wanted it. My momma and I went round and round about it but I won!
I never got to see what my daddy's class ring looked like. He was working at a service station and went to the bathroom to wash his hands. He took it off and laid it on the sink. When he realized he hadn't put it back on and went to retrieve it, it was nowhere to be found.
I collect anything to do with Dr Pepper. Be a Pepper! I'm a Pepper!
I graduated in '84 as well. I didn't particularly like the way the stone looked in my ring after I got it. My birthday is Aug. 24, so my stone is peridot which is light green. It seemed to me like it wouldn't show up green except in sunlight. But I wore it until it would no longer fit on my fingers except the pinky and it was too big on that one. There was a jewelry store buying gold and silver in town and I was in a financial bind so I sold it. I think I got around sixty some dollars for it.
I love it when Olivia does the sit-down strike in this episode when no one is doing what she asks. I also love it when the children do a sit-down strike later when Olivia has second thoughts about going on the honeymoon. Both scenes have inspired me to have a sit-down strike whenever someone is trying to make me do something I don't want to do or not doing what I ask. I thought it was a good idea of John and Olivia to take the children with them at the end of the episode. It just goes to show what a great family they are.
I had a class ring (graduated the same year as George Washington lol). Our house was broken into a number of years ago and that class ring was one of the items stolen. Can't think it was worth much since I think the stone was glass!
