Yipee! I finally finished my inside decorations today. My husband put up the lights outside and I finished the front porch. He had to come in a couple of times to cool off since it was 84 degrees and even hotter in the sun. We're missing the cooler temperatures. I ended up turning the A/C down to 74 to help make it a little cooler while I listened to Christmas music as I worked. Of course yelling at the cats to leave the tree alone isn't exactly festive but after a couple of days they'll get the picture and ignore it like they do the rest of us. LOL!

The Homecoming is usually the first Christmas movie I watch. Oddly, I haven't watched it yet this year. Christmas seemed to come around so quickly this year, and with this unusually warm weather, I am having trouble getting into the Christmas spirit.
I don't know who invited El Nino to the party this year. I know I sure didn't.
I love Autumn and Winter. I cherish Christmas. Anything that interferes with my personal Christmas ideal upsets me greatly. Admittedly, I never grew up...
I favor the old classic Christmas movies, like The Bishop's Wife, The Man Who Came To Dinner, The Bells Of St. Mary's, Come To The Stable, Miracle On 34th Street, It's A Wonderful Life, and many others from the era. I own them all on DVD.
The Homecoming is my favorite Christmas movie. I'm going to watch it tonight. It may just do the trick to get me in the Christmas spirit and take my mind off the fact that I could probably have a Christmas barbecue this year.
